Every time we play at Ocean Protect there is so much negativity on Facebook, the comments are overwhelmingly negative too.

We really need to get ahead of it, and start giving some teasers of the leagues club. Even if it's just the view out the window....

Xenia must have read my mind :) Added some photos to their story:

Tbf it is a **** ground

Listening to Kenty Blitz this afternoon and the flog who hosts with him says he has mail from the NRL that they want to move all of our home games to Allianz & Kogarah.

Kenty has had it in for us for a long while.

I wouldn’t be surprised NSW govt pushing back on nrl on $$ investment for Allianz and Kogarah upgrades

Not mad about it.

Play reggies, flegg, sg, NRLW, Matts etc from home. 1 or 2 games a year at SP, rest at Allianz.

I dont see moving away from SP to play half the season at Kogarah is any type of real upgrade. Its another **** hole

It’s absolute rubbish. The club don’t even want to take a single marquee game to Allianz as they know it’s unlikely (or highly risky) fans will travel

Our average crowd at Kogarah was about 2000, even considering Covid it was pathetic

The whole strategy for the last 5 years has been getting the leagues club open to improve the game day experience and make money from that, it’s unthinkable they would suddenly change that after spending $40 million on the leagues club

Would it really be worth keeping as a reserve grade and juniors ground? (Even if you threw in one or two NRL games)

You’d have to at least explore offers

Yeah **** that. If the NRL team isn't playing there more than once or twice a year better to cash in and develop the site.

NRL team needs to train somewhere too…. I see no issue with keeping the stadium for all those things. Could actually **** the MP Stand off for a COE in time

Expensive training ground! Thankfully it's all BS. If you want further proof, The Mole posted about it too.

It is, and I think you’d still entertain offers, but it was a good answer

- still need a ground
- still need a leagues club
- still need a COE
- it’s an asset

So maybe it would make sense to retain it

NRL(/govt) would certainly have to make it worth our while to consider taking NRL away from it

Can't see why the NRL would by the hotel on our ground if they wanted us elsewhere.

In saying that, can't see us there in 20 years time unfortunately.
