Really! CEO comms have previously stated it will be open to public in the later half of the year. It seems like good progress is being made.
There will probably be an update at the AGM next week. But @apezza knows the industry.

I did hear it's more likely start of next year too.

Yeah they are making good progress now, but the facade work takes a long time and it needs to be 100% water tight before the internal stuff can be done.

Once finished you need about 6 to 8 weeks for stocking, staff training etc.

We have waited so long, no need have a rushed opening. Take their time and get it right.

Question, will the stadium capacity be lifted again to former numbers once the developments are done? Seeing 10,000-12,000 on attendance figures is such a bad look for the club.

Dino said in that interview the other day that it will go up to 18,000. I don’t see how, but it will involve the extra PB Stand seats, removing the corporate marquee in NW corner, and I assume a little more room at the NE corner near where the construction is happening (though additional toilet block and gate are also planned there).

The upper Burns Stand couldn't be much more than 500 seats. I'm not sure where else Dino expects to cram the other 5,000 spectators.

Maybe all the Lower Peter Burns members will return to their empty seats - There's about 2000!

Agree with what @Art Vandelay said yesterday, there's just not enough seating.

I used to like standing and having a beer, but there's minimal standing area now, and it isn't very good. The gradient sucks and the areas are situated in walkways or tucked into awkward crowded corners.

I just can't believe how **** they've made the experience compared to what it was.

well thats another thing they could actually improve for a short to medium term. change the gradients of the hill in the standing areas put in tiered standing and viewing
think newcastle knights

I can't attend the AGM today, but could someone please press for answers?

I imagine the answers will just be that our priorities would be similar to below:
  • Finish Stage 1 of the Leagues Club
  • Get the toilet block and gate in north-eastern corner
  • Finish the Game Day Bar at the bottom of Peter Burns Stand
  • Finish Stage 2 of the Leagues Club (function rooms etc)
But will see if there are any surprises.
