We might not be around to reap the long term gain , this gives us a chance to reinvest, also it says there is an ongoing 1.5mill revenue stream

Plus New Leagues Club revenue .
That would cover game day costs , ground upkeep, junior development and hopefully extra in the bank
Between a rock and a hard place .
But hopefully sustainable , least Kent can get rooted .
No re-location for the foreseeable future .

As long as they are smart and invest it wisely we'll be sweet

I'm not convinced the $12m being held for Leagues Club development is going to be a decent return on investment.

Agree. Would be better spent on another investment

Does it even make a profit? On the odd occassion I'm there outside of game day it's dead.

Obviously there are more people living close by now but I just don't think clubs cut it now for people under ~50.

Outside of the $40 million, the Sharks are poised to receive a further $16 million from the State and Federal governments for ground improvements and a high performance facility at the venue they own.
“We will be as strong and secure as any of our rivals in Sydney,” Mezzatesta said.

This is more money coming in, which I thought the high performance facility was self raised and money from members , now some from govt ?

I'm shocked the state government is throwing money in. I'm sure they said recently they'd stop funding suburban grounds.

I’m not it’s just normally when govt changes these promises are rarely upheld. Given that the shire is a predominantly liberal area then I’m expecting labor to divert funds elsewehere. That’s just the nature of the beast

Not really. If you have the Libs spending what, $2b on stadium, you can't possibly justify spending more taxpayers money on the same.
