And in other team news, the Sharks have sprung a surprise by naming former Newcastle Knight Terrence Seu Seu in their 17-man squad to take on the Tigers.

Sacked by the Knights for an off-field indiscretion, Seu Seu has impressed Sharks officials in recent weeks while working on Toyota Stadium as a groundsman, as well as with his attitude to training and to resurrecting his career in the NRL, hence he has been afforded an opportunity with the Sharks.

In recent weeks he has been playing for the Southern Sydney Sharks in the Jim Beam Cup competition.

Seu Seu comes into the Sharks NRL squad in place of Kevin Kingston who is unavailable due to an ankle injury.

Seu Seu, De Gois and Kingston. Three don't go into two. If Seu Seu goes alright against the Tigers it'll be interesting to see if Kingston comes back in when fit. I think Seu Seu's just what we need to help spark our attack. I'd like to see Kingston gone, but he's the only one ut of three of them who's signed for next year.

you's are just talking from reading and not watching, how many of you's have seen seu seu play?
he has speed, agility but dosn't direct the team around the park as good as kinga, also his defence isint as strong as kinga, seu seu takes plenty of runs out of dummy half and dont be surprised to see him take a few 5 meter out dashes to try and get himself over the line, as he is known for his cunningness on the oppositions goaline, dont talk too soon sharkies kingas in dangerous form and noone will realise this until they actually see how different the two actually are

forza you have hit the nail on the head. i could not have put it better then myself. but i would just like to add that as well as seeing the difference in the payers, u will also see the loss of not having kinga there. i may be wrong. seu seu may have a blinder and we will never see kinga in 1st grade again. but i just have a feeling it will go the other way

i dont know atm if it is between Kinga and seu seu, ive watched every game this year more than once, and Kinga has been hands down better than degois THIS YEAR.
we all saw what de gois did last year but he is off his game ATM.
if de gois cant lift in the next few weeks (but wait, one game then the bye, so he's only got one game really to put in a blinder until kinga is fit again) he may find himself in the cobras.
anyone who doubts this, spend some time watching our games again and have a look who has been in form.

De Gois, 23, has been earmarked as the Knights' replacement for hooker Danny Buderus, who will move to English club Leeds in 2009.

De Gois, who has captained the Portuguese national side, has been outstanding for the Sharks but the club was unable to compete with the money on offer at the Knights.

Could be bad putting Seu in firsts without a contract. It's possible we lose both.

sh!t, that would suck if we lost de gois AND seu seu. is there anyone else that can come up from the cobras to partner kinga? or would he play 80 mins? or would we buy a young hooker?

mate, ive watched every game more then once pretty much just to watch kinga and he HAS been better then de gois. he is a very underrated player. like i said its the little things he does that no one notices that if he did not do, we could have been in trouble....

James Storer has been playing at hooker for the Cobras and he looks to be a clever enough dummy half, but he is no de Gois.

I don't think Storer could be a consistent first grader..
looked a bit patchy last time I saw him play.. and didn't do much in the trials either...

I think Lancen Joudo is contracted for next year, maybe he could be an option.
