beat penrith and we win the entire thing

give us a shot again against the cowboys in sydney and we win and win well
I think we have more capacity to play better than Cowboys do compared to our game against them last weekend, I'd feel good about a rematch on GF day.

I'd just have to figure out getting to NSW to enjoy it then back here to fly out of the country on the Tuesday after...

As I've said before, I reckon beating Penrith in the prelim is basically our GF if that makes sense.

I don't see us backing up the next week.
I could if it is against the cocky cowboys. Wouldn’t get beaten by them twice in a finals series I wouldn’t think.

I agree it's better now we're on Penrith side of the draw. We all agree that beating them in any game is going to take a monster effort. But if we did beat them and get into the GF, I'd be very confident against any of Eels, Cows or Raiders.

Yeah and we have to play them at some stage in this finals series. I think we would be in a much better position to win a GF coming off a win against the panthers rather than a weaker eels or raiders team

honestly, if we'd won against the cows and got the week off, I'd be nervous as hell at the prospect of playing canberra

I disagree. If we have to play Penrith in the final series I’d rather play them in the GF. They wont be rested from a week off and hopefully a bit more leg sore from a tough Prelim and the occasion of the Grand Final makes it more unpredictable then any other game.

All moot now since we ****ing choked last weekend.

All you **** fans calling it prematurely

There is still the hope of multiple salary cap scandals gifting the Sharks the 2022 premiership by default with the benefit of an extra 2 weeks R&R by not having to go and play in the actual GF

I am not sure if this is the right topic to put this message in, but here is a quick recap of the forum's feelings during the year:

Fitzy (and the team) will be considered successful if we make;

Off-season: the finals.
First half of the season: top 6
Week 12 to Week 20: top 4
Week 20-25: Top 4. The we came second.
Finals: GF. If we are beaten by the Cowboys, then we are done. We may have a chance against the Panthers.

After Rabbitohs game: We are so bad. The whole team is a pretender.

I think sometimes we need to remember where we came from. With a bit of chance, luck and healthy players we could have gone as far as the GF this year. It didn't happen however lots of positives this year:

- We are not shown in a negative light in the media anymore
- We are back in the PointsBet Stadium.
- The development is going well. The club's finances seems to be doing well.
- We are able to attract good names to the club.
- We have no trouble selling sponsor spots on the jersey.
- No board room dramas.
- No player-related dramas.
- We are basically on the Up Up.

Let's enjoy.
