Will he get a chance in the top grade this year?

He might snag a few games but We’d have to have quite a few injuries or release some players imo but given Cam is out a good chunk it’s not impossible but he’d be behind Puru and Tuks in the depth department

Think this guy could turn out to be the player we’ve been looking for since Gal retired. Huge wraps of this kid, hoping he can hit his peak and make a real name for himself in the next year or two 🤞

Does anyone know if this guy is signed with us or not?
Not (publicly) officially but was on the 'train and trial' list for us that I think Sev posted a few days back I think most are assuming is accurate unless proven otherwise

Just checked and he is still listed on our website in the Jets team page which I though for a moment was something, but so are at least 4 others who have left so that doesn't actually help.

Yeah - as bort said. No confirmation but has been shown in several training photos/videos both before and after Xmas. Fearnley too. Some train and trial contracts are for the year and some end after the pre-season. We don't know which type those players have.

Was discussed in the pathways thread that the Jets have lost a few middles so plenty of opportunity for McCullough to win a spot even if he doesn't stay on as a full time NRL T&T.

Could perhaps be an element of waiting on Colquhoun (and to a lesser extent, H Puru).

Obviously JC is negotiating for 27 but McCullough wouldn't be anticipating much if any NRL this season anyway. If JC leaves we open a much clearer path for him (even if McInnes added another year). Especially if JC and Puru both bounced.

If JC doesn't leave, some of the other teams vying for him might be interested in McCullough and he may just have to do a season of Cup (what he is expecting anyway) until that money kicks in. Probably not positioned to take big money either way but his value to different clubs becomes a bit more clear once a few other people make their decisions.

I guess some of that could be true. Just guesswork really though.

I think McCullough and Fa’atili are moreso looking at 2+ seasons of cup. That’s fine for the Sharks. They have plenty of middles right now. If they needed someone who was closer to being ready they could have kept Bradbury.

If the Bears take all of our locks I think I’ll have to go to one of those rage rooms.

Is this guy a genuine chance of making his Nrl debut at some stage this year? Or is he still way off?
