My 7 year old did his first 5km race today and did really well.

Ended up doing just under 31 minutes which was 6:10 mins per km...was a big hill on the course as well.

Really proud of him, plenty of my mates wouldn't be able to match that time.

That’s a strong effort for a 7 year old

Because my wife and I are runners my 8 year old is also keen. We've been taking him to parkruns (5km) which are great and free. He's loving it so far.

Anyway, he's been going OK...this morning though I saw a story on a 9 year old that just did a parkrun in 17:40! That's ridiculous.

Did his first 10km run yesterday and somehow managed to run the entire way. Pretty impressed with the little fella.
