Was a punch all be it not a good one, just continues along the same path of dumb brain farts that nearly all in the team can be guilty of over 80 minutes in the last 5 games. We really need an attitude adjustment quick smart. 2/2 after a month not good not bad 1/3 has us chasing our tail.

It was the ultimate mug off. Being baited by a guy famous for crying on-field, then letting him score two tries.

Except Hunt only plays 15 mins, really should be able to get through that period without one

Team seriously needs a captain on the field ..

Who’s pulling these guys heads in ?

The most experienced player on the field at all times is Moylan but he’s a fairy

not every 'experienced' player is a natural born leader who can fire a team up with a few words

this team doesn't need a talker, it needs a forward leading by example on the field, someone who other forwards run of his energy just like we did with prime fifita

Isn’t that Dale’s role?

It needs both

No one seems to be talking; Hynes will be good for this alone when he’s back

Yeah- it’s hard to punch a bloke properly when the guy is back peddling Ben Creagh style …
Horse was keeping out of reach and Hunt had someone holding him. Got baited hard and embarrassed but what would we say about him if he just let himself get grabbed, pushed over etc and ran back into the line with his tail between his legs?

People in here would lash him for that too - I reckon we'd see 'he shouldn't let himself get pushed around', 'this is why we lack mongrel and nobody is afraid of our forward pack', 'I'd rather he get binned for hitting the bloke than let himself get embarrassed like that'

It was a lose-lose situation when the officials missed it and it got doubled down on when they called that 'punch' a sin bin, but what Horse did was fair.

Meanwhile in the Rabbitohs Roosters Chee Kam got binned for escalating a fight he was like the 5th or 6th bloke in for. That one gets an even up binning against someone who wasn't even the worst offender from their team - Murray escalated it much more than Chee Kam did when he literally started it. If our incident or theirs deserved two players to go I think surely it is ours.

I'm personally still not sure he didn't punch Manu but he hasn't be charged so NRL must have taken position that big black eye that appeared came from something else (maybe Murray's head). If they had binned him for punching, different story, but they said just for escalating it by joining in.

Mongrel and dumb are not the same thing.

Ron Massey taught that to Gal:

We do really lack a forward leader like Gal. Finucane is in some ways but Gal had guys like Lewis and Heino who took the pressure off and I don't see McInnes on the same light. Toby is stepping up a bit, but I really hope we see Wilton and Nikora step up as leaders in the next couple of years.

Gal was also on the field for 80 minutes every week. Dale can't inspire our pack if he's sitting on the bench for half the game.

I personally don’t think Finucane has anything on Gallen

I’m not sure if age is catching up to him or whatever but I kind of expected more from Finucane on the field , not saying he’s going bad but just thought he would bring a little more
