The ball control was Under 10 standard , player discipline is non existent , was there a game plan ? . Move Bird into the centres right side , bring in Murphy , Holmes back to Fullback Gagan onto the wing and cant wait for Heino to come back.

So you still want Robson in the team? If not who plays along side Murphy?
On Fifita, He should be the best prop in the game big, strong, agile can off load the ball. But all those penalties he gives away holds him back and the team. Gallen used to be like that but he's pulled his head in its time Fifita did as well

I dont have all the answers but we need to improve our attack especially on the right side , so we will Have Murphy , Bird , Gagan . Any other suggestions ? Unfortunately we are stuck with Robbo ATM.

Playing for 78 minutes is an improvement on 70 I guess.

We lose too many games in the dying minutes. We need a close out strategy and a Head Coach.

The strategy is to forget the grinding style and trying to win by two points.

It doesn't work.

After last night's game I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that we're not going to make the top 8. If we did, it would have to be a total reversal of form and a lot of luck going our way.

Sadly I just don't see it happening.

I think the players are trying hard but the structures we have make it look like they have never played together before. Let's take a look at our top players for a minute.

Gal. Well he is injured and with Origin coming up he's probably not going to be available long term.

Fifita. If the bloke would just get his discipline right he could be the best forward in the game and possibly the best player. The try he scored last night was just brilliant. But I lost count of how many penalties he gave away and late in the tackle counts.

Barba. I think we all know he's not the player he was in 2012. Back then he would have scored from that run and pass from Bird but not now. He was easily run down. I think there is a place for him in the top 17 still but I'll admit I don't know where and I don't think anyone else does either.

Ennis and Lewis are probably the only players that are playing to what we know. I think Lewis still isn't at the level he was when we first bought him but he's getting there this year. Without Ennis we could easily be none from 9. He is head and shoulders above anyone else.

Val is absolutely wasted on the wing. He has no room to move and needs more space to show his wares. I know he's young but if Barba is to be persisted at fullback I'd put him at 6. Bird is still going OK but I'd put him at lock. From there he can roam and not worry about the responsibility of linking the backline.

Which brings me to the halfback. What can I say? I know Robbo is highly regarded by the players and coaching staff and I do know he is very much revered by the junior players. But, except for his defence, he is not producing the goods and must be one of the few halfbacks that cannot play what is in front of him. I'd be giving Murphy a shot.

All in all, this is another season of trying to get a premiership winning side together for next year. It's a recurring theme unfortunately and if we are without success at the end of next year that will be almost six years under the current coaching regime without the results we all crave.

Despite all this, I will continue to support this club with the same passion I always have and I really hope we can be talking about more positive aspects in the coming weeks.

Close out strategy for last night would have been do kick for touch on the last set and have a scrum 10m out from our line with 45secs to go.

Instead robbo does what he does best and we all saw what happened

Neil Henry 's crapping himself as to how to contain our halfback

How bad is it that I wasn't even shocked by that loss. I didn't even get angry at it. I just accepted it, because that's what we do.

As soon as Fifita scored I knew that the Warriors had another one in them.

Absolutely disgraceful effort to not shut it down with 3 minutes left. Totally typical of us though. That and the Gold Coast loss were absolutely ridiculous.

Like i said. When we were down by 4 i was a bit dirty but not anxious. Then fifita scored and we were in front with no time remaining i got anxious.

Like the titans game poor decision making cost the game. Forget the moments before like browns dick fingers, 2 to go 2 in front we just had to play the clock.

We have to walk away from the Barba experiment and play Holmes at FB. And we have to give Bird the ball more, a lot more.

I'm filthy on myself for getting so upset last night. I ask myself today .... What made me think just because we lead with 2 minutes to go that we would win. I can recall about 10. Games off hand we have lost like that in recent years. More fool me for having any faith in this lot.

Can someone tell me what's stopping Bird getting more ball himself?

If he had a different name/wasn't the flavour of the month then he would be getting criticised for not getting himself involved enough.
