In my opinion three things cost us this game.

One. Discipline in the 2nd half we gave away too many penalties and dropped the ball way too many times.
Two. Having Barba on the team. After recovering from a hard game on Monday, we needed an extra forward not to mess with our outside backs.
Three....The refereeing in the second half.....I don't normally blame the refs in the 2nd half. It seemed like he was very quick to blow the whistle against us time and time again, starving us of possession and field position, whilst they would do things like a high shot on Ennis and not get a penalty against them.

Penrith were very good today. I didn't think we were too bad. Bounce of the ball didn't go our way a few times. Penriths forwards got over the top of us a bit. Nothing too much to worry about, just beaten by a better team on the day. Move on.
totally disagree, if you aren't worried about today's game then you accept mediocre performances

Shattered. A 4 and 4 start if we had of won? That would have been awesome.

Reality.

im not even angry after that rubbish. Just disappointed.

Errors ...... how is it we can complete 37 of 41 sets in the worst rain and wind in an NRL game ever, then play on a relatively dry field (i suspect it was still a bit damp at least) and drop balls worse than Greg Alexander in the commentary box.

Penalties.....so many silly penalties, Heighnos lift was bad and i expect him to get a few games off for his troubles.

Missed tackles....we were dropping off them like there was no tomorrow. We had a hand over on their line and they made their kick chase tackle on our line.......100m. Not good enough. Our line speed was terrible.

Highlights were Feki putting Moylan on his arse and Holmes with a spectacular try, otherwise there was nothing. Nothing at all.

That was a game we NEEDED to win purely to stamp some authority on the comp. We coulda been 4-4 instead we are 3-5. We have a negative for and against and are still a way off the top 8. Its lucky for us that other teams like the Roosters and Rabbitohs lost so we are still in touch with those 2 sides. But the Titans and Raiders keep on rolling on and making us look like ass hats.

The result we got is the result we deserved. congrats to Panthers, they wanted that win.

Not only that - we have now put ourselves in reach of potential wooden spooners Manly. They are just one win away from us.

We just love to snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory...

No they are 2 wins from us. We'd have to cop a slaughtering and they would have to have a big win to over take us

You get raped for lifting so why do players keep doing it, I get you half to win the wrestle but the arm between the legs then lift is totally the wrong way.

I'm no wrestling coach but these silly penalties hurt us big time

Yeah in those standing still tackles its useless. When its a tackle chopping someone down it looks great.

Bukuya's error was super costly . Ricky looked good once Wade gives him early ball.

Yeah now will have an in form player sit on the sidelines for dumb ****.
Especially we just went through the same **** only 2 week ago.

I hope they don't add points to Ennis as well could come around twice to bite us

We were rubbish. If we were genuine this year we would have put this game to bed, fired up panthers or not, we weren't good enough. The discipline was awful, way too many penalties for stupid mistakes.

Let's put this into perspective......the opposition today were without an international winger, international centre's, state of origin 6 & 7, an international lock, an international prop and last year's hooker of the year. We had all the momentum and the result should never have been in doubt.

10 all penalty count but we had 13 handling errors to panthers 6. Twice as bad is not good enough, combine that with lack of intent in defence equals ****

20 penalties in 80 minutes, bad discipline from both teams or nitpicking refereeing ?

Such a contrast to last week. It is hard to understand how we can go from one extreme to the other so quickly, even more so when taking conditions into consideration.

Heino is in a bit of trouble too. We'll miss him if suspended.
