As is every game. I hope the boys didn't waste too much time celebrating last night. They had nothing to celebrate and they've got a lot of work to do leading up to next week.

Not really confident. Last night we sucked arse. Last week we scored 5 tries when we should have put 7 or 8 on them. We are struggling in attack, and some poor defensive decisions can cost us.

If we're without carney our attack will struggle bigtime and it'll be hard to compete with an attack led by hayne but let's not forget we're versing parramatta lol. Sharks 1-12

We need to be 3/5, not 2/5. The end.

We struggle in attack with Carney. If Hayne fires up I can see us getting done here.

without carney( i assume hes a out for a while) i cant see us winning, robsons 5th tackle options are terrible unless he does a grubber at the goal line, it would pretty much be up to our forwards and gordon sniffing around to score in this game

with chad in hopefully he plays well, hopefully his kicking game can add something we dont have with robson,

in order to be competitive we need to send runners at sandow like wests did with koroibete, sandow couldnt handle someone like taga or any of our second rowers running at him

if we win this is will be tough, grinding, percentage play football, and we must have less errors,

also, its nothing new our line speed in defence is rubbish, that needs to pick up big time we cant have teams making that many metres

We actually seem to perform ok away from home early in seasons. I think the boys get the jitters in front of big home crowds and feel the pressure. Case in point Saturday night.

Now that is Silly, we find it hard enough beating the Dogs fullstop and then do that...spose we needed the cash
Then again the dogs will have less traveling supporters there as well

Robbo bombs in to the corners on the 5th like every other uncreative half in the comp. Execution is the key, he needs to land these in better spots more often. Maybe Chad can do a better job of it, maybe he can't...
Agree that he should do more grubbers as he is actually good at getting a result from it. Get repeat sets, wear the opposition out and continue to throw the odd dummy when attacking the line. Filling the Carney void is a massive ask of anyone.

On the topic of bombing to the corners I wish this wasn't a part of our game, it's predictable, repetitive and a lottery and turning our game into AFL.

thing is robbo doesnt have the skill to land the corner bombs where they should, i mean i def see the merrit in the corner bombs, one of the things our wingers have is they have great hands, but if the kick is rubbish its just a bad end to a set of six

ultimately i think robbo should use his grubber this weekend , like you said get repeat sets and go back to the grind, its the only way were gonna beat the eels

One of many, many weaknesses in his game. I'm no fan of his (obviously) but from a pure observation point of view his bombs rarely land where they should. They never have the height or the depth.

Hopefully the smashing they just got and the shorter turn around will take the sting out of them and should put us back in the winners circle.
