From RLW:
  • A critical try, 90 seconds from half time, turned the tide in Sunday's thriller at Endeavour. Cronulla were down 15-5, when the Sharks' men of the day, Forrest and Rogers, turned the game. Forrest sliced through a gap and put Rogers over under the posts.
  • The try was the signal for a rousing second half in which Cronulla earned 10 out of 10 for fighting spirit, for which coach Pierce can take credit.
  • Rogers gave first class leadership, and provided a one-man scoring blitz, to get Cronulla home - not bad for a bloke who they reckon can't play lock forward.
  • It was his second try, 20 minutes from the end, that really put the pressure on Saints. And what a try it was! Rogers ran across field, ball in one hand, trying to pick up the runner, Paul Khan. Suddenly the defensive line opened wide as Saints players took the dummy, and Rogers sped through it for the try.
  • The fans enjoyed it thoroughly, basking in warm sunshine.
  • Ian Forrest absolutely slayed the Dragons with his top-class display at five-eighth. His coool, controlled play was a highlight of the weekend.
