Definitely not. It is one or our best assets.

The side rarely falls apart in this respect. Dragons and Warriors this year?

Ah, second half today Parra were marching down field with our pathetic arm grabbing techniques, and we let in some très soft tries!

One second half doesn't make a season. Defence is a major strength of this team.

The attack is burgeoning as well. We will win next week and be very well placed for the finals.

Agreed,

But in the context of our defence during the second half, to which your comments were responding, your initial post doesn't hold water.

Got home from golf to watch the last 7 minutes.... Phew... Watched replay this morning.
Obviously thrilled with the 2 points to get into top 4, it was the 2015 and the 2014 sharks all in one game. Was annoyed we seemed to switch off but glad we now at least have a switch on button that we can goto, without being to critical roosters and cows also have a habit of clicking off in games, havnt watched lots of the Broncos so can't comment too much on them, rarely stay awake to watch the 2nd Friday game. Was probably a good wake up call to all the players especially the young guys that 40min of unfocused unorganised error riddled offload happy footy could we'll have torpedoed our season had we lost from a great position of dominance.
That being said I'm now wrapped our resolve was tested all be it mostly self inflicted and we were able to move on with our top 4 destiny still in our own hands.
Still lovin the 2015 sharkies like a fat kid loves lollies...

thats a couple of weeks in a row with that second half slack of....so I am sure flanno will try to address it now.....more subs I reckon and like most say gal to have a spell.....the return of fifs will assist in this as I think flanno is trying to keep our big boppers on the field and they are getting to tired and failing to move up or jumper grabbing

In a way it's the sign of a good team that can play poorly but still win. Having said that our execution in attack in the first 20 mins was great to watch - Nice shape and ball movement. Not often we can lay on try's at will when down the oppositions end but Parra arn't a great defensive team by any means.

Our kick defense remains a big concern. Having a composed Barba back at FB should help alot with this but we should be hooking Flash not Feki who looks to have regained his fitness

Is there any word on the concussions and Tupou? Hopefully none of them are too bad.

Bit of a funny story about this game. I had to work and had a bit of free time to sneak out to a local hotel to watch the game with a colleague who is also a Sharks fan. The only other person there was a mad Parra fan with his girlfriend. They were both decked out head to toe in Eels gear.

"Oh great", I thought, "we better win this or this bloke will give it to me." As I was in suit, I thought it best not to give away the fact I was a Sharks fan. So I kept quiet until I thought we had scored our third straight try and looked to be on the way to a massive score.

Then the bloke goes, "Oh, you blokes only play for sixty minutes, we'll win this".

"We'll see..." I said

The bloke got more and more upset until, of course, Parra started the comeback. When they hit the lead by six with ten minutes to go, I thought I was going to be on the end of a spray. Then the office called and said they needed me to come back.
"Saved by the bell!", I thought and made good my escape.

Then of course, we make a miraculous comeback and win. My mate rings me from the pub and says, "Mate, you missed out on a cracker!"
And I ask, "Was it a good comeback?"
And he laughs, "Yeah, it was but I was talking about the Parra fan losing his $h!t and kicking the chairs and table over!" :lmao

Wtf? A Parra fan saying we only play 60 mins of footy? They are aware there is a second half to every game?
