The acid test is whether the Sharks let last week get to them and allow it to lose them this game. This happened last year too many times.

Both teams coming off golden point losses. Hard to say who played better in their respective games, given it was round 1 and you're not expecting high completion rates and strong match fitness. I am tipping us in this one - I think the nights are vulnerable early on and also later in the game. Bennett hasnt had enough time to really shape them into the full 80 minute package. I liked what I saw last weekend from our boys. Competed all the way, and it took a roll of the dice by the Tigers to get out of it.

I know Flanno has been giving the refs plenty since Sunday and I 100% agree but I think the team has to move on. Flanno has to convince the players they won that game, keep their confidence up because we really did play well (well, for a round one hit out against the "apparent" premiers 2012 at their home ground!!).

I think the best thing that we can bring from last round is that we did have it all over the Tiges. They came back and won, but held them tryless for a while, also. Most teams this year will be lucky to only lose by a point. we were unlucky to lose at all. I think the boys while disapointed at the loss, should be feeling like winners, and eager for next weekend

I am meant to be going to a wedding reharsel, I think I will miss that. It isn't too hard to just stand there and look pretty.

Unfortunately it didn't just extend to the next game rather it extended to the next few.

This game last year was against a Bennett coached team. Let's hope we can emulate the performance!

I wonder if Flanno will give Tafua the oppurtunity for some pay back. let him go fold some laundry !

Good idea. He should adopt a horses for courses approach with our depth - & Taufua is a player that should be in against the Knights.

How did he go in NSW cup last weekend?

Yeah I wouldn't mind if our worst forward of the round was automatically dropped and our best forward from the NSW cup automatically promoted or something like that.

Would be a decent system to have.

Not that I know if Taufua played or was any good or whatever, but yeah I think he should come in this week maybe for Tagataese. Nothing against Taga, he was just probably our worst and Taufua should get a crack against the #9ball

So now that this thread is up, is everyone over the whinging about the tigers game! MB pointed out that the sharks players let previous losses compound into following week/s, i think we as supporters shouldn't let the same happen! What happens in the past stays in the past, bring on a win this weekend!

The refs were dropped, as soon as that happened I put it out of my mind.

There were a million other ways we could have won that game and I made a deal with myself at half time that if the Sharks could just come out and look respectable in the second half I'd take a loss. So given I made that deal with myself, this was the best possible outcome. We looked a lot better in the second half and I'd rather lose in golden point than be out of the game with 20 minutes to go.

The team needs to look at it like we pretty much beat the premiership favourites on their hallowed turf. We didn't get the two points but we should go into the Knights game with the confidence of a win but the hunger of a controversial loss.

Maybe that loss will do us good. I know a loss in round 1 last year did, albeit under different circumstances.

If we forget about the refs, forget about our stuff ups & learn from it, it may be a blessing in disguise.

If we get the errors out of our game and play at 85% completion I can see us scoring 24 points a game fairly easily.

Excited about this game, Knights looked shaky in the forwards so there is an opportunity there considering that is our main strength. Even though he can be replaced, I think Tahu could have potentially carved us up so I am glad he seems like he will be suspended.
