I wish soccer mums were concerned about bull**** refereeing as much as they were shoulder charges.

I should be careful. They'll probably outlaw penalties because the offending player was just being himself - sorry, theirself (I don't want to genderfy anyone). Get rid of the scoreboard too because there are no losers its all about fun and we're all winners. yay.

Hell just became a reality after that post.

Just watched the replay, that last 20 mins we actually looked liked a well drilled footy team. Graham was immense.

Really? I never got a good sense of anything like "well drilled". I kept asking if they'd met each other whenever they got inside 20.

I'll agree with that. We have no worries marching up the field. Thank **** too cause if we had an average running meters game combined with our ****house kicking game it would be 40+ against every week.

Boys played hard and come up with the result. Graham was incredible - put him in a blues jersey. Gal toughed it out but (understandably) was short on match fitness. Gordon was friggin fantastic - why we would ever consider letting him go is beyond me.

Robsons kicking game is Grade A Crap. Every single bomb landed on the 10 metre line at best. The best in the game (Cronk, Pearce to a lesser extent) constantly manage to land their kicks right on the line. Of course they miss from time to time, but cant even remember the last time Robson managed to do this.

Roosters wont play that bad for the rest of the year.

Had a great feed at King Wan before staggering home at midnight. UUC.

I like going nd have a look before and after always find it funny, maybe we can do a coach swap lol.

Pearce was a let down for them, its was like watching two Robbos lol.

Gallen gallen Gallen this is why I hate him can be so good when playing for us, will we see him after SOO in this form I hope so but if history repeats, see you next year gallen Grrrrrrr.

My return to Shark Park yesterday after years away.

Wasn't sure if you guys still met up by the stairs at halftime or not, and don't sit on my phone at games.

Arrived early, bought a cap at the club and revisited the 90s with a couple games of pinball in the sports bar.

Stood on the Hog's Breath Hill with my brother and a Roosters friend from school.

Great crowd, great field, and good to see the BBQ up and running. And getting on the field afterwards was just another reason the suburban grounds need to stay.

14,500 at Shark Park is way better than 18,000 at Allianz. Better atmosphere than the 85,000 at the Chelsea game the other night.

Congrats Sharks.

yep 14,500 was a great crowd, probably our best of the year? Which doesn't say much given our 845 kick off v broncos, rain for the Knights/Souths games etc. Coming off a near 40 point flogging, 14500 is a god send. I refused to give up my long weekend to travel down after last week, so we done to the fans that did go

I love it. They just can't accept or even comprehend losing to us. Arrogant pricks.

I am not goona go through the dribble and depression in this thread, but I thoroughly enjoyed the game

I know the roosters were ****, and we had the bulk majority of possession, but we won, and that's all that matters

it doesn't matter how we won, or why we won, but we won. that team, bar maybe an ayshford for leutele swap, is the best team we probably could have fielded on form and paper, and we beat the roosters, who are seen as a top 4 certainty.

we have now beat them twice, and the rabbits, its the ****ty games that have cost us

I thought our forwards set the tone for the kind of game it was going to be, a big fierce battle, and the roosters didn't react.

the other thing that was brilliant was our line speed, and the fact we actually took steps off our line before sliding

our goal line defence was awesome as well.

its just a shame we can't put in these types of efforts every week, because there was clearly no effort at all last week, and then you see the courage and determination this week, and that's what makes this club frustrating.

I thought gallen and graham were absolutely brilliant. as much as I bag gal as I do not like him, he is vital to us while we are a grinding team.

and take your hate off Luke Lewis, the amount of stick he copped on here, he has probably been our most consistent player this year.

the 2 points are vital leading into a bye, and then a very winnable game against a pathetic Newcastle team.

win that, build momentum, and return the favour to the dragons at home.

think you've summed it up well. I think the only thing that has pissed everyone off is our inability to score points, but as you said, who cares how you win, as long as you win. I don't think anyone would cry if we won a grand final in that fashion.

Ive never seen this forum so depressing after a win, i think we just live in hope of a game with plenty of highlights.

Our games are generally small margins, but this year we have been consistently putting up 3-4 try performances too, even in close losses. Yes Robson is a thorn in our side, but he will play with us til the season is over. I highly doubt he gets a new deal.

Was a gritty win, and I'm not sure who on here watched it on tv, but Gould had high praise for us all game about the way we play and that while it wasn't flashy and brilliant its the sort of play that gets good teams uncomfortable. And i guess that is a big plus in our favour. Our attack is generally weak, but if we can weaken everyone else's attack we can out muscle them the rest of the way.

wins a win. I guess people are getting spoilt and want more than just a win. Id love to see some highlight plays myself from us, but i guess thats not us

Agree, I don't buy into the depressing win chitty chat... We were never going to win a high completion rate game of razzle dazzle, a long weekend is even more sweeter with a gnarly gritty grindy (any other word starting with a G) win.. We defended like beasts compared to last weeks dragon games, I'm still glowing after any sort of win against the salary cap cheating scabs.

Top post! - the bolded parts are what drives me insane about this team, as well as the Lewis bagging.

Was that the part where he said the first half was the worst half of football he has ever seen? Which was then backed up by every commentator on the broadcast?

No smart ass.

The bits about how we could defend any team out of the game. He was praising that all arvo. Even before the game
