The coaching staff/administration can hardly he placed at fault for the recent results on field.

We haven't been full strength yet this year and it doesn't matter who the coach is, you can't work with something like that.

Look at the Storm for instance, they struggle with their big three out and they have arguably the greatest coach of the past decade.

Bull****. I can excuse them for last night but even then they played with no pump. We have been shut out too many times this year not to blame the coaching or game plan.

The coaching staff can't be at fault?

It's their ****ing JOB to create the plays, the decoys and the block plays etc and coordinate/communicate that to the players.

It doesn't matter about the cattle on the field, these basic drills are obviously not being implemented at training as we seem to be the only team in the comp that can't do it.

That also goes for most of last year when we had a full squad.

The players are there to be told what to do. They are the hired guns, the blokes up the top are coming up with the shots.

We need some kind of attack coach.

The last time the ball went through more than three sets of hands at Cronulla, Ayshford was at primary school.

That is exactly right mate. My biggest beef with our block plays is we don't run enough decoys and generally Robson only ever acts as a link man. He joins the dots, paints by number, etc etc and never plays what he see's. Mainly because he doesn't actually see it. The good play makers straighten and get the outside defenders to turn their shoulders in before beating them with the pass to the outside. To be honest you don't even have to be a Thurston or a Johns to do this... you just need an ounce of talent.

Can you imagine our team with a 7 who could create on the other side?

That 7 was our 6 last night, he plays what he says.

Which is more than Holdsworth and Robbo combined

Would love to get Noddy in as an assistant to help with the attacking plays. Don't care how much money it would take, make him an offer he can't refuse.

We should have just got him as our head coach when we had the chance

Agreed. But that ship has sailed, we gotta accept the fact that Flanagan will be our coach and there ain't anything we can do about it. I reckon having Noddy around would make Shame a better coach as well.

Noticed that too, when we go to the backline its all sideways, everyones running the same line- towards the touchline. Taking the ball at speed and just taking a few steps straight (towards the tryline) and not sideways drags the defence in and keeps them from just sliding towards the sideline, that way the player sweeping behind has room and less defenders in front of him to put the centre and winger into space.

I will be absolutely filthy if Brown is not our 7 next year. Even though he is suspended surely Flanno is watching our games and surely he must see that neither Robson nor Holdsworth will have us scoring points next year.

In fact, the NSW Cup side for next year must permanently have Holdsworth at 6 & Robson at 7. They must not be allowed to play NRL again, except for the case of injury.

If Ennis comes here and he is able to play 80 minutes this will allow us to have big men on the bench and throw the hooker rotation out the window.

As I've said many times, I have never played a game of footy in my life but if I can see this why can't Flanno? I know he's not a great coach but in all his years of experience surely he must see a glimmer of it.

Our centres have not seen the ball with any space since John Lang was coach.

He coached for the great Andrew Ettingshausen to receive good clean early ball.

The rot set in with Andersons flat attack and nothing has changed since, despite some good seasons on the back of dominant forwards.

Even ETT would find it difficult under the current structure.

I got hammered the other night for suggesting our coaching in the attacking department over the last two years was mediocre. Apparently y'all need to pull your heads in because the **** of a coach we've had up til this year has got us to two straight finals seasons damnit, what more do you want?

It isn't just the halfback who needs to see the space in the defence, the backs need to have the vision as well, running lines & hitting holes is what outside backs are supposed to do,the backs have to be able to identify the space, you cant coach vision into any player, they have it or they don't.
Our attack revolves around Carney,he is the only player that can see opportunities in the defence,he gets bagged for turning the ball inside to a backrower,he does this when he knows that nothing is on,Carney is always watching the defence before he gets the ball, looking for a opportunity.
I was watching Robson's last game,he had made up his mind what and where he was going to kick on the last tackle long before he got the ball,no vision to play what he sees or take advantage of lazy defenders, just bombs away and hope for the best,no change of coach will make our halfback and
outside backs any better than they are because they just don't have enough talent to mix it with the best.

Who ever made Sharp the coach should be made full accountable for a HUMUNGOUS STUFF UP and if it was flanno some how he should be kicked right up the date.

Maybe we need some one like Warren Ryan to become our coaching CORDINATOR.

He is still seen as a great TACTICAL Coach his track record is really very very good , and Flanno would then have to aim up and clearly face his responsibilities

Not even Bellamy can do any good with a dud halfback option, the forwards have been carrying this team for a long time,it will take more than Warren Ryan to fix Robson,Ayshford,Wright,Stapleton & co

Like a Coaching Director? Maybe Johnny Lang? Just a thought.
