Official Ronaldo Mulitalo

I was just looking at this today (like @Gumby I am a bit bored at work!)

Surely he does it this year if he doesn't get any more injuries.

The big question is can he get to ET on 165?
He'll finish 2nd by the end of the season for sure imo.
He's on 102 currently, signed until end of 2028. He would need at least 4-5 years I reckon to break the record. If we extend him, I see him breaking the record.

Why isn’t he mentioned in the Origin conversation?

I get he was only just coming back when Game 1 teams were announced, but even since then when they mentioned alternatives for Fifita’s wing spot he’s never even murmured in a breath.

Fascinating really; the most high profile case of the eligibility rules prior to them being changed, yet now they are it’s crickets

He's still ineligible

The age requirements didn't change, he didn't arrive in Australia until after his 13th birthday
It's a shame, to me he seems as much a Queenslander as Nikora (Nikora moved to Qld aged around 10). Cut-off should be around 18, and let the states' selectors determine who is a true/passionate Queenslander or New South Welshman.

Reasoning for 13 is that u13's is the first year of non-mod footy, and in Qld kids used to start high school in their turning-13 year.

Kids start high school in their turning-12 year now, so that is less of a thing.

To bump it up but still line it up with something I would say u15's or u16's is the sweet spot.

u13 - First year of International Rules (no bibs) but 5m rule and SafePlay code
u14 - 5m rule and SafePlay code
u15 - First year of 10m but with SafePlay Code
u16 - First year of no SafePlay Code (+ school rep football)
u17 - First year of club rep football.

Schools have u12 reps too, but that is against the wishes of the NRL.

Yeah maybe U16 might be good. I just feel it is tough to blame kids for when their parents moved.

Plus any league kid who moved to Aus would likely be as passionate a Blue or Maroon within a year or two as any other kid.
