Do we lack speed? I feel like we could do with a few quick players in the team.Could be a very slow backline with dugan gray feki and moylan if he were to sign

The sharks have lacked speed for many years. Holmes is the only one in this squad who could be considered quick. Addo-Carr in this backline would make a difference but not to be.

Having said that you really only need to be quick over 30-40m these days. It's not a huge problem

Disagree, how many long range tries has Addo-Carr and Roberts scored. Plenty!
Arguably the quickest two in league at the moment.

Val is quick over 30-40 but has been caught a number of times going for longer range try attempts.
I'd love to have an out and out speedster over 100 - 120m

I'd take the overall package of a quickie. They are fast and on the end of good backlines but what else do they really bring?

And they are 2 of if not the quickest in the league. You don't get many of them to share around all 16 clubs

We are sort of in-between, we don't have the out-and-out speedsters but I wouldn't say we are slow. It just depends on the team. Like Hayne is as quick as anyone over 100 but you would hardly know, whereas someone like Addo-Carr gets the opportunity to show it off for whatever reason. It's nice but I haven't seen our wingers missing tries because they are too slow.

Beale is now gone of course but he made plenty of breaks during the season which quite likely would have become tries if he had the pace of Addo-Carr. Still good that he made the breaks of course, and he did one pretty amazing long distance try during the season.
