Sometimes I really don't understand Gus.

Some years he loves us, like 2018 when he picked us to win the comp.

Other years he just completely disrespectful towards us
I don't think he has much time for Gal and it shows
I think he is just trying to be controversial sometimes and be sensational. He is a media personality afterall.

I'd said the same not long ago. It's that and Gus thinks Gallen is a moron and doesn't hide it.
Haha. Gallen does come across as a moron a lot of the time. No idea how he's so prominent in the media but you can say that about plenty of them.

He absolutely does. But fair play to Gal, I think he knows it and just gets that it's his job to throw himself into an opinion, no matter how much he knows, cares for or believes it :)

Gal is a bit like Pauline Hanson - he knows what he wants to say but it doesn’t quite come out right .

Better off going over to Gus and snotting him …

Yeah, not sure if anyone saw his press conference with Hodgo and Hannant on Youtube. Emotion got the better of him and went a bit below the belt.

This is not specifically just for our game, just the whole top 5 were from our games.
Dearden's total is the longest recorded distance in an nrl game.

Interesting no Hynes when there is some consensus on here he does too much and needs more help from Moylan.
Obviously running meters on it's own isn't necessarily helpful but suggests Moylan is making the effort to be pretty involved

Briton was third for High Speed Distance (>20km/h) but Feldt was first.
Ronnie was second and Will 3rd for Sprint Distance (>25km/h)

Also the greatest speed reached that weekend was Will Kennedy scoring, not him running away from attackers as we may have suspected.

Personally I don’t think that image reflects anything to do with people saying Hynes needs more support from Moylan.

Also I’m not surprised they’re all from that same game, no other match went for 93 minutes and all players in the pictures played the entire match.

I'm just saying clearly Moylan isn't just sitting on his edge doing nothing, he actually covered more ground in the game, which surprised me.
Obviously the conversation seems to be more should our 6 be taking more kicks and/or running the show more.
Last game Moylan ran more, only made one less pass but obviously our primary kicker did most of our kicking.
There is also the element of people who think we should give Hynes a partner who will take some of the responsibility he wants off of him. Personally I am happy to let him have it if he wants it and is giving a near Dally M level performance in the jersey.

Obviously not surprising they all are from the game that went longer, just clarifying in case anyone wondered.

Yeah I think the kicking game is the main area I agree with it. Moylan is constantly out their yelling and directing plays, so I don't buy that he isn't helping manage the side. Only having one target for general play kicking though hurts. The only time Moylan seems to kick is if Hynes get's tackled on 4th.

I'd love to see Moylan take on a little bit more kicking but per the stats I shared the other day there are plenty of 5/8ths doing a comparable amount of kicking.
Do we need to do what other teams are doing? No
But seems like what we are doing isn't some insane outlier we are doing wrong compared to everyone else.

If we could land a Burton or something different story but I don't think we need to go away from something that works just to have a 5/8 who will kick another 4 or 5 times a game.

The main stat that I think really reflects what people want is receipts.

Last game Hynes had 74, and Moylan 46.

If Hynes takes a step back and takes less responsibility on the last tackles kicks and worries more about picking his moments and creating, you see his receipts drop down and we probably get more value from him hopefully from not being so tired.

Just my thoughts 👍🏻

Whatever we did on the weekend didn’t work, Moylan needed to rectify this during the game not after we’ve lost.

Moylan running the most out of all sharks players means nothing in fact it’s actually confusing because he was ineffective.. Hynes is a weapon, in his first game as a half in the finals he showed up and showed out and did everything he could which is what we needed but like I said at the start of the year we’re just going to run Hynes ragged if there isn’t a balance. Our kicks our fifth tackle options killed us

Moylan to get man of the match this weekend after a quiet game

I must have missed those stats. Where'd you post them? I definitely agree you don't have to copy other teams.

But the difference there is basically just kicks isn't it?
Runs + passes + kicks
Moylan 9 + 39 + 1 = 49
Hynes 7 + 40 + 24 = 71

Not sure why those numbers don't quite line up but I assume that is the basis of them (I guess you can run and pass?, or run and kick? Errors is another result that can come from possessions).
If correct Moylan had the ball basically the same amount of times as Hynes did except on last.

Now the fact Moylan apparently had one kick for 9m is pretty shocking but obviously something the team is fine with.
