Thats why the Dally M's have lost me, its purely a media award now & we all know how ordinary & a lack of credability some of the people are that are given the responsability to award points in games are.:mad:

Im more angry that they cost me 2 rep points. ****in assholes

No point in worrying about it folks because the rep system is going to be turned off in the near future.

No, the philosophy of the changes is to remove preconceptions of a poster's authority based on arbitrary things such as reputation, post count or join date.

The quality of a poster's opinion should be evaluated independently and regardless as to the number of post that someone has made, their registration date or their reputation level.

There may be other systems in place to reward quality posting or effort but it will not be based exclusively on someone's seniority or post frequency.

But post count and especially join date is a major function of a lot of major forums. As sad as it may sound a lot of people do take pride in there post count.

I agree that it shouldnt be something that determines someones authority. But its still a fun feature that a lot of people enjoy.

If anything at least give people the option to hide there post count if they dont want people to see it.
