There you go @snowman - thanks to SF you have some great podcast content. What is the meaning of an enforcer prop? Maybe you could invite @bort and @Thresher on to discuss this

Enforcer ain’t the guy throwing a lil bitch punch and getting sent to the bin and letting his mates down …an enforcer picks himself off the ground smiles points at the bloke and tells him to hold onto his arse and dares him to stand in front of him the next time he gets the ball.
Jwh love him or hate (im a lover) has made a career out of it.

Nice to say but do we really think JWH just lets that slide? Bloke finds a few bins and suspensions himself

Maybe you do think JWH walks that off, but my thoughts are he doesn’t

I think people really need to take into consideration the easy draw we had last year, but then again, it supposed to be an easy draw again this year.

Questions:

1. has the defence gotten better or worse under Fitz?
2. should Moylan be offered an opportunity to partner Hynes after Trindalls success? If so, how long for?
3. should Fitzgibbon persist with Talakai at centre?
4. with Kennedy performing well, do Sharks see him as their long term fullback provided he can offer persistent form?
5. what is holding Brailey back? do they look to change up his minutes?
6. is the Sharks forward pack lacking size?
this really set me off last night

Ok, firstly, appreciate you answering the questions I put forward. I enjoyed listening to your response.

Some feedback:

Defence better or worse under Fitzgibbon
It's interesting to hear we were 3rd best in defense at the end of the normal rounds. Without being critical of Fitzgibbon, is it fair to say this could also be related to Sharks also having the easiest draw last year?

Should we move Talakai from centre
- I agree that defending next to Moylan would not be easy. Talakai's body size also makes it hard to move laterally when asked to cover for the man inside also.
- FWIW, I don't want Talakai to come off the bench. If I moved him, he would be in the starting team. I feel he is a little wasted in the centres. The forward pack currently lacks go forward, something Talakai can bring in spades, and off the back of go forward, he produces alot of momentum, which is another thing our forward pack lacks.
- Like you said, he giving us big metres each week, but these metres are mainly through hitups.
- However, there is no ready replacement for him at centre that would enable Fitzgibbon to contemplate moving him

Is Will Kenneddy now the long term fullback at Sharks
Last time Fitzgibbon was asked when WK was going to re-sign, Fitz said they are are waiting on WK to come back to them, and they also have Dykes as an option. Assuming the delay is due to the length of the contract and also contract worth, do we expect the club to now be more willing to meet the terms WK would like?
And what now for Dykes?

What is holding Blayke Brailey back
I agree he isn't playing like everyone probably imagined he would be this many years into his contract. I would only say this, I would argue he is playing behind a beaten pack, and would like to see how he played behind a pack that had the agression needed to give Brailey some running freedom.
I also think a bit of pressure from another hooker would be good for him.
And lastly, I think Brailey maybe doesnt have the desire or drive to want to be the best hooker he can be.

Again thanks for answering the questions Snowman.

Happy to come up with a few more if you're after discussion points after the weekend.

on a brailey point - we beat the raiders forwards on the weekend - he played behind a team with momentum and ran for 16m
He’s sht he’s not crafty and he doesn’t look to manipulate the middle of the ruck at all costs at all times

Happy to just go about his job

I want a dog in the 9, scheming, sniffing and testing the other team whenever he can, fk with their minds, keep them guessing

9 is such an important role but we have a very laidback person steering the ship

Yeah I've said it before, his laidback personality comes across on the field. No white line fever for Blayke.

Sone people have said Cam Smith was laiback but he was an absolute competitor.

I for some reason have always remember a discussion I heard about both Braileys:

Newcastle Brailey: lives and breathes rugby league, can't get enough of it
Sharks Brailey: stops thinking about rugby league the moment he is at home
