THE chances of Scott Prince remaining at Wests Tigers next year improved yesterday when North Queensland decided not to make an offer to the Australia halfback.

<EDITED> Full article can be found here

There was no such luck for Sharks forward Paul Gallen, who will miss the start of the season after undergoing surgery yesterday on a bulging disc in his back. Gallen, the Sharks' best forward last season, could miss up to five weeks.

Congrats to Paul Gallen

I know he hasn't been my favourite player but congrats must go to Paul Gallen, he has just been named in the Blues Origin team. Noddy missed out unfortunately but well done to Gallen. We will miss him though against the Broncos.

he deserved it, he has been playing great for the season. but i'm a little disapointed that that lance didn't make it. i think that puting gasnier in 5/8 was a huge mistake.

we're lucky only gallen made it. face facts. origin is a crap game and all it does is mess up the teams wich have players particiapting. how terrible would it be if gallen got injured not playin for us? cronulla have been going well thru the midway part of the season cos we havnt been hit by origin. no sharks for origin.........keep em in the black white n blue

I agree Lettuce Sharks - I hate it when we lose players to Origin. I was a little scared that Greg Bird might also have got picked along with Lance, they have been a real strength for us this year.
We have to careful this week against the Broncos. They will have 7 players on Origin duty but they will still be tough, especially at Suncorp. I remember a game at Suncorp against the Broncos maybe last year or the year before where we were hot favourites to win 'cause all of the Origin stars were out and they beat us. So we have to be on our toes.

origin isnt crap .its the pinacle of rugby league.
id prefer to play brisbane full strength(us and them).that would be a true test of our worth.

gallen deserved the place in origin...he deserved a starting role.....luke o'donnell he's hopeless....gasnier 5/8 HUGE mistake, may i emphasise the HUGE MISTAKE....blues origin hopes r ova with gas and gower...gower doesnt deserve the spot and gasnier should be moved back to the centres

Well done to Gallen, however who gives a ....... about SOO. I don't! I want him for Sharks. Our priority to win the comp, I think Noddy deserved a chance however prefer him to play for us. Bird to play lock this week, Williams into 2nd row I think, Villasanti on the bench.

Beau Scott should be dropped despite his try, he dropped the ball again and made too many ball security mistakes.

yeh steve i agree with ur backrow swap and then bringin villa onto the bench.scott may possibly be dropped but i dont think stuey wil change a winning team.pomeroy may come into consideration for scotts spot or onto the bench for williams and play backrow. which he did at the panthers before he moved to the centres.
