At least he isn't like SBW and loiters around Weight Watchers meetings to find his next opponent

I'm no boxing officianado, but I reckon it'd take a bit to put Gal on his bum even if you're hitting him flush. I doubt body shots will help you much - I'd imagine he could cop that damage for a while. If you're punching him in the face I can't see him sitting back strategically planning his way through and I reckon if you don't put him to sleep you'd be poking the bull. He'd come at ya and it might not be pretty from a boxing point of view but it would be a handful.

A good boxer I guess would move and jab and tire him out and win on points. haha I'd still rather watch 2 Gallens go at it.

His fight before the Watts debarkle he got dropped in the first. After that his opponent stopped throwing punches

I love Gal don't get me wrong, but it seems very coincidental that he has chosen to rest this injury (leading upto the ANZAC test and SOO) when he was initially happy playing on with it.

The timing is "Highly suspicious" or VERY VERY VERY coincidental.

I'm ready for all the backlash.

Seen this coming as soon as he started posting pictures all over social media of the bruising on his hip. No doubt that's one hell of a nasty bruise , but c'mon he's the "G-train".

Can't defend him on this one, he has form for this, ala around SOO time, he's kidding himself if he thinks most people don't think this.

I've just accepted it. He's got a lot of bargaining power with the Club in lots of ways. Its far from ideal but its an outgrowth of our decades of awful administration. Hopefully this is the last year but in the mean time we suck it up.

So Gal is now out indefinitely so I guess I have a bit of egg on my face.

I would only be giving him one year extensions. He might be a Cronulla legend but the club comes first.

2012 16 games
2013 16 games
2014 9 games
2015 Who knows

He's out of the test too according to twitter. Eventually Gal's work rate is going to catch up with his ageing body.

He may well be injured but his track record speaks for itself, he always seems to be right for SOO then we lose him for months after that.
Also he is taking up a good deal of our cap space as well.

I have lost any faith and respect I have in him, all this bull**** talk about loyalty to the club well it should be both ways Gal with or without him we will still have a club and a team.

As for the photos oh his hip well yes its a decent bruise but it proved nothing.

Reading all these comments puting our club captain down makes me ****in' sick !

The guy NEVER gives up on the field. He gives more than other able-bodied players in his team and plays through
pain all of us ...you and me... would surrender to immediately.

Now he has an injury that will keep him out of what would probably have been his LAST test match and all he gets
to read (and he DOES read this stuff) from his "fans" (joke) is that he's a quitter, that he isn't hurt and is "saving
himself" for the Test.

No "last hurrah" and lap of honour as an Australian rep for Gal. Nope.... the lasting memory for our mighty warrior
captain as a proud Australian player is his own fans belittling him.

Be proud guys.

PS : I doubt many of his detractors will apologise here for their ignorant comments. They'll just find some statistic
to back them up in some way and slink off into the swamp.
