If Sau continues to get overlooked by Bennett, we should make a huge play for him, might be a little more willing to listen.

Actually I'd rather us just focus on securing the off contract Gerard Beale to play in the centres.

Bit of talk around that the Drags want him in the No. 1 next year. Not surprising given golden child Stanley's rather inept performance there last night.

Would take any of these guys and mix with ours and we could make a pretty decent backline

I don't think he's a realistic target, if Brisbane want to keep him, he probably wont come here unless we pay him outrageous overs, and its pretty hard to lure regular first graders away from Brisbane anyway. We need to be more realistic and accept the fact that we can't buy anyone we want because our club isn't as an attractive option then other clubs, even with Carney and Gallen in our team. I still think if Sau is continually overlooked by Bennett, he should be our number 1 priority. Also if Inu loses his spot in the team at the Warriors, he's another one we should look at. Same with Chase Stanley if he doesn't get regular first grade with the Dragons.

The Broncos don't have a whole lot of coin left. They have Gagai/Copley tied up to much cheaper deals than what Beale is looking for. Beale is definately on the open market because it seems unlikely the Broncos will be able to match his contract demands.

I reckon its pretty reasonable to suggest that we're more likely to be able to sign a bloke who is off contract than one who just extended on a long deal last year IMO.

i think if our developnment gets approval and we have good season making atleast the top 8, i think we suddenly will be a lot more attractive team to come to
for players from other teams.

Yeah as much as you hate to think it, it would go through players and player managers minds, the uncertain future of the club. The recruitment of carney, but questions there being will be consiststant or fall off the rails again.

The optimism some of you have is admirable, however the reality is just about everyone on that list (besides Brown) would offer more than our current roster. Our only salvation is we have a heap of youngsters, we should release Pomeroy and Best who are just wasting spots in our squad.

I reckon we should give our 4 guys 6 rounds before we bag any of them.

In my opinion everyone starts fresh now that we have Carney.

I'll be judging em on this years form and nothing else.

I think they might just surprise a few people.

:Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes:

My thoughts exactly

Farrar would be the top pick for me.

Give feki a run instead of best, imo. I actually dont mind pomeroy and mills in there, and wright is solid if not flashy.lets see how them tigers handle them round 1.

Maybe, but the only true way to get top tier guys to come here is success, something which we haven't had in a while, apart from a good season in 08.

You talking about Sau? I thought he was on the off-contract list? If he isn't, ah well cross him off the list.
