Worst advice i have heard on here.

Sounds like a sales rep lol at HN.

I found no problems when you posted I was at work we run norton crap and nothing came up same when I got home we Avast is it still doing it and what browser are you using information is key with something like this and from what I have read it can be something to do frames and ads and can be a false positive because of the ad.

Maybe time to run a malware scanner across your pcs as well couldn't hurt just because your wearing protection (Avast) doesn't mean your not infected.

Do you feel dirty I do just talking about it lol

more like best advice. intuitive operating system, seamless and easy mediasharing all around my house, no anti virus software, no malware scanning...can't see myself returning to a windows based system ;)

Thats a bit misleading you do realise that macs are still susceptible to trojans and they are different to a virus?

And um as for media sharing please dont tell me you went mac for that a simple WDTV media hub will do that for $200

no i went for a mac because they offer a great system for audio production and i think OSX is a far more intuitive operating system than anything windows is offering. i like that they work out of the box. you buy a system with specs that suits your needs and that's it. with PC's, always a **** around. forever having to frig around and after numerous porno sessions the thing starts to deteriorate. i also think they're aesthetically good looking and operation through the wide range of track pad gestures makes for easier operation than anything dealt with on a windows based system. i also think the fully integrated system is a great way to go about media and information sharing. we have a few macs in my house, several iphones and AppleTV and i like the way that everything is just working together; didn't have to frig around setting anything up, it just works. i don't have time for frig arounds.

yeh i'm aware of what trojans are. i'll let you know when i get one. you'll be waiting

lol @ the mac suggestion - it wasn't my PC that Avast was finding issues with - it believed the website was infected.

Besides - Both my pc's reported the same malware threat when accessing the site.

This PC is Windows 7 64 bit running 64 bit IE9. The notebook is running Vista and IE8.

I got around it by temporarily turning web shield off. It's turned on again now and I can access the site fine now.

Haha, well I have a degree and work in a company that probably has 30,000 PC's on a network. Apple make toys for rich kids, hipsters and art students. End of story.

And Apple's dominance of the personal computer device market- from mobile phones to laptops and music players- demonstrates that normal people don't want or need machines that can program flights to the moon, they just want electronics that are easy to use, stable and intuitive.

Apple don't dominate laptops. They dominate mobile phones and music players because the average person cares more about how cool something is than how good it is.

haha i love how the itards argument always revolves around the "i don't get viruses". Well i'll take my $750 laptop with my $50 anti-virus over your overpriced macs anyday of the week. I am running similar specs if not better than your macs and at half the cost. Mmmm

It has nothing to do with me having a degree you absolute **** tards. It has nothing to do with "being hip". I chose my Mac on specs regarding my needs and recommendations from audio professionals. So far I've not thrown anything at my Mac that it couldn't handle with ease. Two months ago my pc (which cost almost the same as this Mac 3 years ago) absolutely shat itself trying to process the exact same project in the same application.

What more reason do i need to be stoked with it?

But yeh, they're just toys. Record studios around the world just use toys.
