Will put this here.

Can't see us beating Parra. Two games in a row for us in very tough conditions, now a short turnaround.

6 days turn around latest Saturday game ya can't ask for much more. Weren't you complaining about 6pm Sundays? Now short turn arounds? Pick a lane, mate.

We're fitter than they are I reckon. High completions from r1 + D from r2 - lets build.

Handle Paulo & RCG, don't watch & wait when Moses dances across field.

Not complaining mate, it's a short turnaround compared to the opposition is what I mean.

We will need to control their second phase play.

I'm not confident in our ability to score points, that's my main concern.

That Eels /Storm game was a ripper, I know they have a long turn around but the Eels aren't known for being consistent. They might not be up for this... I hope :)

I hope Talakai is back. Question do you put him at centre or put him on the bench to help our middles. Or a bit of both, he starts at centre and moves to the middle with Tracey coming on at some point.

I think we lose this but really could go either way

That Raiders game would have taken a bit out of us mentally and physically and to lose the way we did might play on morale a bit though we should take confidence from fighting for 80 mins and pushing the raiders all the way to the final whistle and only losing on goal kicking

It's still early season though so we should be fresh and ready to bounce back 100% with energy and motivation and maybe we will be up for it but I think the Eels might be a little too good for us at their home ground but at our best across the park we beat them.

Good news is Eels did concede like 3 try's to the broncos in the first half of their game in round 1 and only pipped the Storm in the last 5 mins of the game. We nearly always have a tightish hard fought competitive game with the Eels (unlucky not to beat them in the rain last season) and with our much improved defense in 2021 have a good chance of keeping the Eels to 2 or 3 trys and scoring 3 or more of our own. Prob comes down to goal kicking so Chad better sort his **** out

I read that both Talakai and Hunt are still a month away, as they are still in rehab

I get the feeling we win this. Parra march out thinking 'we just beat the premiers!' and play like rubbish.

We were close against Canberra last night, playing better than I expected so far this season (which isn't saying much haha).

Seems we're actually more frustrated that we lost on goal kicks than if we'd just let them roll us like everyone expected and lost 24-10

We have a good record against the Eels. I assume we are also playing for the John Mannah Cup which adds a little passion. I think Bomber would like a win over his old club and will get the boys up for a good game after last nights disappointment.

We will need to improve our goal kicking in event of a close game as Moses has been kicking them from everywhere.

I reckon the Raiders defense is somewhat better than the Eels (at the very least more aggressive and hits harder) and we put 2 try's on the Raiders playing on a swimming pool

Ronnie and Katoa are due (eels wingers like to rush in as well) , Kennedy looking likely and another scrappy Dugan special in the in goal we can get there. Brailey and Tracey smokies too

I understand how Hunt might be a month away, but why Talakai? He was aiming for Rd 1 in a Feb interview but planning to take it slow. Has he had a set back ?

Also NRL physio had his recover at 3 to 6 months. He's be at the 5.5 month time frame now.

Think Fifita needs to be back in the 17. Billy can go back to the jets

In a game where we struggled to make tackles Billy made 7 of 7. Not big numbers but the more makes we can get the better. Think you could make a fair argument to keep him over Williams.
It's probably pretty close one way or the other, we haven't really seen how Billy will go with more minutes this season if it was Williams who fell out.
In saying that I didn't see Fifi play NSW Cup last week so I have no reason to suspect if he wasn't good enough for round 1 he is good enough for round 3.

Wet track a worry especially without a right centre .
Dry track and I'd be confident we'd nab 3 fairly easily .

We really need the troops back for this one. Wish Talakai was fit.
Not confident he can do it, but Fifs needs to come in and lift the forwards.
Somehow Moylan needs to throw the shackles off and get the left side of the field humming. I don't feel like I've seen Ronnie in attack on that edge (barring cross field kicks) and he's our try scoring machine.
Chad can't be asked to kick everything, run the team and every attacking play on both sides of the field. Johns could do it. Chad is barely something Johns wiped from his nose in comparison. He can't do it all against top sides, they'll be all over him.
Woods needs to change his mind about the effort needed to keep playing at this level. Thankfully it doesn't look like Toby's taking his advice.

Not too sure mate, I just saw on the “Casualty Ward” that Fox had up this morning and again just now in the Eels V Sharks preview on NRL app, that their injury returns have been delayed a month.

It’s a long time isn’t it, a month extra, and both of them the same. It’s odd. Maybe Morris is foxing...

Talakai seems to be in full training except contact so I'd be surprised he's still a month out. Think he has even been involved in contact drills in a limited capacity (red singlet).
Hunt I've seen less of in pictures, which fits as his leg injury doesn't allow return to field like shoulder does for Talakai. He was pretty active at some stages late in pre seasons though, such as jumping around playing volleyball over crossbar.

We have Storm, Panthers, Bunnies from round 8. So maybe we get SJ, Talakai, Hunt back round 7 in preparation for the tough month. Seems like a cunning plan.
