The rebuild should have started when Holmes left us. Buying Johnson was a mistake. With our salary cap restrictions it would have been the perfect time to blood more youngsters. Bailing the Bulldogs out by taking Woods and Morris off their hands was also a mistake

Morris (aprt from leaving) was never a mistake. Letting him go was the mistake.
Both Woods and Johnson were signed before salary cap restrictions were given.

The fact is we have a team that on paper is 1000x better than the titans but right now i wouldnt be betting against them

Looking back at the game now, the 2nd half was absolutely attrocious, the only positive of the game was that "spirit" I thought we had to come back from that lacklustre start aswell. That spirit to come back I don't know where that went in the 2nd half, absolutely appaling. In the 2nd half the very few chances we had we stuffed up on the 1st 3 tackles aswell which didn't help. What happened to getting the ball to the edge for Graham & Dugan to show what they had in the 1st half? When Brailey put the ball out for the 20mtr restart that was the last hope of the game unfortunately because that was when Tigers scored their try from the soft defence we showed up the field.

Tbf Tigers didn't actually look anything special to me for the majority of the game, we lost it purely ourselves. The only time they started to look half decent was when we had no energy because of all the defending we had to do in that 2nd half. That was a harsh call on Kennedy for that strip & for Ronaldo, I don't know where the ref got a knock on from when it went through his legs, even the commentators said that was a ridiculous call clearly going behind him. Blatant knock back.

We weren't the only team of the round to look atrocious anyway, of all the teams that have lost they all looked a little lost & got dominated. Bellamy was furious with Melbourne apparently aswell, Canberra killed them, as did the Eels over the Broncos. Dragons didn't score a point all game either at least.

I thought Johnson was signed after the sanctions were put down on us.

Although he was good for us, I think Josh Morris was a pointless signing. We didn't need to sign him.

A few positives from this game despite the result/collapse...

- I thought the use of Moylan at lock was a good move to ease him back in. He’ll be better for the run. He was solid until that shocker of a pass
- Brailey was very good other than that one poor grubber
- Soro was very good. For a bloke who struggled last year he has really played some good footy this year

It looked like there was a deliberate tactic to get the halves and Moylan taking on the line, which is good. The down side of that is we didn’t see the ball movement in the middle like we did against the storm. I would have liked to see Billy used in a similar way to rd2 rather than just as a yardage player.

Unfortunate for Brailey that his one **** up was one of the key things that went against us (as far as things we can control go)
I haven't watched a replay but still pretty sure we should have got a penalty a play or two before for a leg pull on SJ

Totally agree about Soro. I’ve been calling for him to start for a while. We need more old heads out there. He should play 50 and Williams 30. Williams will do better coming into the game with some tired forwards because he so quick for a big guy. It’ll reduce his role too which might aid his progression as a player, keep it simple.

I think Soro would relish the opportunity to play the 13 for us. He could provide that no nonsense, play hard, lead by example that we’re lacking.
