We've done more for Women's rugby league than any other club, but I can still see us being pushed aside for an inaugural license

Yeah I thought that was interesting. Maximum of six teams? You would think they're going to piss some people off. Plenty of good publicity for the clubs that get handed a licence.

It's understandable they want to start small. Can't start a 16 team comp straight off the bat.

But will be interesting too see who gets the first licences. Will it be teams that have done the hard yards and laid the foundation of the comp, or will it be gifted to a club that that has always been kissed on the bum?

You’ll probably see us with a team in the competition, due to several girls from Aus team are actually contracted to us. don’t be surprised to see manly having a team in competition either.

God help Wayne if one of the girls get up the duff

A guy I Knows daughter trialled(from interstate) for Sharks and Tigers very recently, and I believe has been offered a Contract at the Tigers (or at least made it through). Not sure if that means there's two licenses likely to these two teams?

Most clubs will create a women's team, Canberra said they won't until they get better facilities, but most teams will still make a pathway so that if they don't get a license first time around, they will be better suited when the next batch are awarded

Got an email from the club today saying they'll consider bidding for a licence once they've reviewed what it entails.
