Good debut for him, great to see after all the years he’s been chipping away at the Jets.
A little quiet but it’s to be expected, good to see that Tricky, Kennedy and Brailey all stood up so he could sit back a little and get his feel for first grade.
While I loved his heads up effort, the one thing Hynes/Tricky have always been A+ in is their support play.
Great to see that it’s being drilled into our halves!

Good on him. Nice try on debut and will be better for it.
Assuming he plays next week he will feel a lot better going into it.

Tbf it wasn’t just Niwhai who had the defence in his face all night. I’d say a combination of Hynes not being there to create space and “Manly are good” were noticeable features of the game in general.
Tricky swapped sides too so both edges had different combinations.

Invisible in the first half, however looked to get himself move involved in the second which was good to see.
Think it helped having Berrell on form him, they’ve played so much together that I think it was easier for Lil’Puru to call for the ball from him.
