In place of Hynes, coach Craig Fitzgibbon has named half back Niwhai Puru to make his NRL debut. Also a goal kicking option for Friday night, Puru will partner Braydon Trindall in the halves.
Puru's twin brother Hohepa has also been named in jersey 18 in the Sharks squad to tackle Manly in a match to be played for the Steve Rogers Memorial Trophy. Hohepa played strongly in the Sharks win over the Bulldogs during Magic Round.
