Yeah someone like JWH but without the sin bins. It’s a tough juggling act
Not many of them around though that can balance discipline and insanity. Its a rarity in this day and age. I’d rather have what we have now then take a risk on someone who’s short odds to get binned most weeks just because they’re “mean”.

New podcast with Nicho, haven't watched any of this guys stuff before but seems to be pretty popular.

Is it too early to offer this guy an extension?
I don't think so. I wouldn't necessarily be upgrading him this year, but I think we will need to upgrade him for next year. He will likely want the details of the new cap to shake out first so I can't see him signing anything, but starting the conversation definitely doesn't hurt.

An upgrade and extension for 2024 onwards is probably what'll happen... the sooner it gets locked in the better (but I can't see it happening before mid next year).

Little bit. If things keep truckin' though you tie him up before anyone can start even speculating a departure.

I think he's committed though & buys into Fitz's journey. As long as he's not being underpaid I don't see him entertaining a move.

the only concern i have is that douehi from wests wants 900k and moses is going to get paid a mil

he deserves it, as does moses, but stupid contracts to **** players like hunt, taylor, douehi ect may kill us if he has another stellar year

This was my thinking. Apparently Eels have offered Moses $1M, and the Dogs and Tigers have offered $1.2M.

With the cap going up I'd be offering Nicho a four year extension at $1M/year. Happy to upgrade his next two years to $750-800k too.

Yeah I know the cap's going up but I wouldn't be ready to offer him a mill yet, see how he goes for a bit next year.

If he kills it you might be offering more. He would be silly to entertain signing on long term till well into the season unless anyway IMO.

I think both parties have gotten great value out of last year. We've kept our promises and Nicho has performed.

The second year is even more critical in my eyes. I expect we'll need at least half a season before we look at an upgrade and expect Nicho to be more than happy with that.

True but how much better can he get? I know it's unlikely but he could also regress.

I see Nicho as bit more of a team player not just out for top $.
