Pass looked more into Toby's shoulder live, can't be bothered watching it again.
From memory it was a tiny bit behind where he would have wanted it but was catchable.

Even that aside is it a silly pass or just a minor execution error, those are two different things. If the answer is we should have had no execution errors late in the game and not needed a field goal there are plenty of things we can point at, and even more earlier in the game.

I think it's a big ask asking a prop to catch it at that stage of the game. Was a terrible decision from Nicho.

Prop should catch a catchable ball at any stage. He'd only been back on like 15 minutes.

Nicho had played the full game up until that point but Toby has come back from a break and settled back in, catching a medium difficultly football shouldn't be an unreasonable ask.

That's where we disagree, I don't think it was particularly catchable for a prop.

Even if that is true does that make it a 'silly pass' or just an execution error from Nicho.

On rewatch looks like a perfectly reasonable pass to me. I have no issue with the play or decision to pass.
Element of execution error for sure, although I still think if it hits you rough in the bicep probably possible to bring it in - to me about equal blame for execution.

Whatever the pass, we need to be able is close games out from this position. Passes, one on one strip's- frustrating

I agree, and even more so execution throughout the game was problematic.
We are playing an expansive game which will have more errors than a safety first game but we could definitely do with a few less.

Nicho execution better on that pass or Toby catch it, Talakai hold ball, nearly smart kick by Moylan knocked out of the air into Rabbit hands,

We won in what probably should have been a close game as they have a good team.

But it would be nice to not be 3rd worst for completion percentage, 3rd worst for penalties conceded and 2nd worst for errors.
If we can close those more towards being a midtable team with the same brand of football we will be going great.

Wow those are massive (but not surprising)

Goes to show how easy we should be able to lift to another level. They should be easy to fix. Hold onto the ball and get off the tackle 1/2 second earlier

Timing right when defending opposition coming out of their 20 would be nice too

I’m not surprised by that.
I’m extremely happy we are 3rd but I’m also very surprised based on performances that we are that high.

We have had some really poor patches in games but luckily managed to stay in front.

Just with the errors I did the unthinkable today and emailed Fitz about them. But I disguised it behind a bunch of praise with our spot on the ladder and the culture he’s built.

He replied to say the boys were enjoying each other’s company and the culture. He addressed the error issues as follows:

“Fundamentals have let us down from time to time but we are going to continue to work on them as usual.”

I hope he doesn't read this forum. He'll be feeling like he's just fallen for the popcorn trick.

I though he was OK tonight but the whole team lost their way a bit. Losing both WK and Moylan had a negative effect on our game.

I agree but at the same time if we make 50% less errors we probably win by 20
