Yeah I think we're playing with two 5/8s and that's the issue. Put either one of them with a proper halfback and we look much better.

Moylan isn't going to change and that's fine, I wouldn't expect him to.

Nicho is still learning his craft so it's going to take time and some patience. Let's hope he has it in him.
Agree mate. The Razzle Dazzle worked the first rounds but now teams have worked us out we need some more structured play

I don't think we need to change anything. The entire side looked off bar a few and it was reflected in poor execution. We made 13 errors, 10 of which came from our 2-7.

Yes they rushed us and we didn't respond, but even coming out of yardage we looked flat and unmotivated. I think the problem was more energy than strategy.

He was genuinely pissed at his performance in the presser. The bloke cares and has plenty to learn, he knows that and talks openly about wanting to learn.

We were to side to side and their halves were rushing in, Reynolds is a pro at rushing up into the attacking line.

I do not think we are freaking out and definitely not in a panic mode.

The team clicking on early definitely raised the expectations and we are all disappointed with the effort last night. If anyone told use we would be where we are right now by round 8 at the beginning of the season, we would have happily taken it.

We now want to win every week. Is that too much to ask?

That SHOULD be our mission.
Storm and Panthers expect to win every week and at least 95 % of the time they do .

I think it’s worth noting that as he learns to adapt his game to begin the general on the field, the team will subsequently learn fo adapt theirs to his.

There’s a visibly clear disconnect at the moment when he has the ball with space and the rest of the team.

He’s playing very eyes up while sweeping, and with his first instinct to be run / engage the line, there a number of instances each game were it looks extremely clunky as the supporting men don’t know how to respond. It often leads with him being tackled with the ball.

Long term this will be a key strength for us. He’ll learn when to feed the ball on early, and when to run in those situations, similarly the supporting men will learn where to be and what lines to run if he takes the run option.

Needs a halves partner who can sit back, control and organise a game when the going gets tough.
2 running halves doesnt work.
Hynes trying to play like Jahrome Hughes does in the 7 jersey for Storm - difference is he doesnt have a Munster next to him.

our position on the table suggests 2 running halves has worked pretty well and it's not like Hynes isn't do any of the halfback things

against the best teams will it work? well we have only played the Storm and we matched it with them for a half of footy so that's something

no reason why this isn't already our mission but it will take time. Panthers and Nathan Cleary didn't become the force they are after 8 rounds of footy, it took years
