Official Nicho Hynes

I’m giving Tricky all the hard kicks and Nicho and the easy ones till he breaks the record … might be against the spirit of the game but would make so many people mad seeing his name at the top.

I think ‘different’

Moylan made space for him and did more share of the organising

Allowed Hynes more freedom

Because Moyza fell off so hard we had to transition a bit quicker than likely would have been ideal for Nicho.
Nicho had to focus on organising a lot more, and creating space for others.

He’s developed this, and Trindall has come along too.

As a result Hynes is a lot more complete player now, can pull the strings or take the game on himself

I totally agree with this.
Different, better, maybe... The end result is there and we're going great.

Cleary will probably win the DallyM he should have won already, but for me Nicho this year isn't too far off.
 
I loved his honesty at the end of the game when they asked him if he knew about the goal kicking record and if it has been on his mind.

With all the crap people have piled on about his 'mental health', he could have easily said that its not on his mind at all etc.

Instead, he basically said he has embraced the challenge and 'Why not go for it' attitude.

To think a year or so ago, the first question a lot of grubby jurnos would ask him in a pre or post game interview was how his mental health was going.

Great stuff Nicho.
 
Just needs to keep in mind it’s a fun little side quest but has very little meaning.

If you miss one, whether it’s meaningless to the outcome, a crucial important one, or a botched sitter, you know you can kick well, just get back to it.

If it was easy to just keep hitting them more players would.

See how far you can go with it.
When you miss, have another crack.
 
That 40-20 was massive. Honestly didnt think he had a kick like that in him. Fair enough i dont think he was actually attemping a 40-20 but the distance in the air was massive

His distance kicking game is what we have all wished for - really happy for him atm!

Like i mean its definitely been a let down for a few years and in ways he more than makes up for it in running and passing but if he can add a solid kicking game and the occasional highlight kick like that, hes gunna go to another level
 
Dunno about you blokes but other than a kick in front I’ve been getting nervous for Nicho the last two weeks, will be on edge v Dragons as well

I hope he breaks the record but also. I dont think it really matters, its not some sort of record thats ever brought up anyway. Great if he does but i think he and everyone else just want to see wins.
