Poor game by his standards but what I like about this kid is that he doesn't go into his shell after a mistake, just keeps going all game with the same attitude

Wasn't his best in rough conditions but we're a team now so it doesn't always have to be.
This. Fitzy is building a system and if someone is having an “off” day, it is less likely to have a negative impact. We are becoming less and less dependent on one or two players having a brilliant game every time.

I thought both halves spread the ball and punished the knights every time they tried to condense their line and put pressure on us.

The pass across Talakai for Ronnie back to Talakai for his try was a great read of the situation.

They both play so deep into the line that we can swing on either side of the field and look lethal.

If we start to build more pressure and get the set endings right teams will fold under us.

Look it wasn't a horrible game from him, it just wasn't his best.

But we won still with him not being the best, which speaks alot about our team.

It does take a while to get used to the extreme conditions that Shark Park can offer during a season .

It was great experience for him ..

Rock solid defensive line and patience. We've got both atm and it's the opposition that are cracking trying to create something. Huge difference to 2021

It is a bit like that.
gould labeled it that once.
teams can lose it in atrocious conditions, and if they don't turn up sw2itched on....they are gone!

like that really wet game against Souths on a Monday night. I still have a shirt the club gave for that somewhere.

I think it's one thing to have a strong cross wind or whatever that would be difficult enough to play with but another to have the wind changing direction and speed, it look to be swirling out there.

One of Nicho's goal conversions he kicked it further to the right to try compensate for the wind but the ball didn't hook back into the left almost like the wind just died down or went another direction.

Shame as 24-0 would have looked pretty sweet and better reflected our dominance over the opposition but 18-0 is still a very good scoreline to present. the nill bit makes me very happy

Nicho had a mixed bag game but he just keeps turning up and when he does something good of which there is still plenty he does it very good like some of those cut out passes out wide ect.

His kicking still caused the Knights some problems at times with awkward distances and bounces falling in between their backs and our chasers and we won it back or caused them an error from it.

I dunno if Nicho was intentionally holding back on the power/distance of his clearing and attacking kicks to avoid giving away 7 tackle sets over the dead ball line or if the wind was working against him reducing his distance but he seemed to be holding back landing it more around the oppositions 20 metre line or so opposed to near their try line

it still worked well as our chasers and defense smashed the knights kick returners and subsequent ball carries throughout the set keeping the pressure on and keeping them pinned in their half.

Might not have had the confidence in the conditions to over kick it too far either. Perhaps this is why we took the tap from penalities in our own half twice? Nicho not confident of finding touch up field in the wind?

Or just didn't want to give the Knights a chance to reset their defensive line? as our tap and goes were like alot of things our team does now - quick!
