Nah, they already asked that. Sunsilk. :p

Seriously though it was a good session.

It was facilitated by Dean Widders former Parra player. Spoke about his childhood and how rough it was but he didn't seem fazed by it, seemed actually glad he went through it made him tougher.

Biggest thrill was being asked to come to the Storm and he said the first year in that set up was the toughest he had ever had it. First up he had to be in a run from one side of Melbourne to the other.

Showed a fun vid of all the team together playing a table tennis comp where he played Munster in the final. They were both impressive but Nicho beat him.

Said he's enjoyed the Storm set up but is looking forward to coming to the Sharks to play regular first grade. Played with Ramien in Manly Under 20s so he is familiar with Jesse and gave Dale Finucane the biggest wrap about his professionalism and what he'll bring to the club.

Also spoke highly of Wade Graham, Braydon Trindall, Will Kennedy and of course Coach Fitz.
Sounded like a good session to be at. I hope the kids got something out of it.

In your head, rent free
I've just received an invite to listen in on an event tomorrow featuring Nicho Hynes.

It has been organised by NRL School to Work, this is the NRL's employment branch that helps indigenous kids find work.

They do a terrific job these guys.

Anyway I have no idea about the content in this but they are advertising it as Nicho's story so I guess it'll be how he grew up and the hardships he faced.

I have heard he went through some not so good times.

my mates son was one of the lucky ones to have a chat with nicho yesterday, pretty unreal that the nrl do stuff like this

Well there you go... From a journo, so it must be right:
Hynes will enjoy a rare start for Melbourne at five-eighth, where he will play for Cronulla next year.

Interesting that they have a quote from Hannay around 6 suiting his game:

Cronulla caretaker coach Josh Hannay, who has been retained as one of Fitzgibbon’s assistants for next year, said of Hynes: “Watching the Melbourne Storm play, you can only be impressed by what he’s done. But at the moment he’s the enemy.

“To my eye his running game is his strength. He creates a lot off the back of his run, he has really good vision and a nice pass. The No.6 generally is seen as that type of player – a running half, not necessarily an organising half – and it plays to his strengths.”

Yep, I think it will be Trindal 7, Hynes 6, Moylan Bench/backup half

Moylan can play the organising half role perfectly well, it's just that lack of kicking game that's the big problem for mine
That could be Moylan downfall he doesn’t have a big kicking game. I don’t think he had 1 kick tonight.

No way.. Moylan can’t do anything Trindall/Metcalf couldn’t they have him covered easily.

Moylan is for depth

If Moylan plays like last week all the time it is a fair point. If he is going to fire up rocks and diamonds we are much better off with Trindall.

Between his injuries and the tripe tonight, Trindall should be 7.

Some nice touches but was fairly quiet I thought.

I'm not deathriding him and I'm excited for him to join us next year, but my worry about Nicho is he's looked a lot better at fullback on the end of those block plays.

It's almost like he's waiting for other players to bring him into the game, rather than the other way around.

He obviously has the running and passing game to succeed at 6, but it'll be interesting to see if he has the disposition to grab games by the scruff of the neck like a Cameron Munster for example.

Don't forget that Bellamy would have had him playing a specific role. Probably didn't include much adlib footy. With their two hookers and half running the show he didn't have to go outside the box.

Yep that’s his problem. His hammy will probably fall off.

Should be an advantage. His hammys should be so tight that you just pull his kicking leg back Crossbows and Catapults style. The ball should fly with that tension.

I reckon that conversion that hit the uprights was one for us. Hope the Tits only win by 10. Then we own Nicho even before he gets here.
