As predicted was given a token 10 mins (even that was due to a injury) and was on a hiding to nothing being played out of position. At least alot of Blues fans have recognised that and arn't writing him off and instead calling for him to start in the halves.

So Cleary is a flat track bully it seems.

Hynes could be the NSW half after this series.

Don't see it happening without a coach change but NSW could certaintly have used some extra attacking creativity and slickness last night.
Mate Fitler will be out if he loses this series. And to be perfectly honest, even if they win, he should be out.

It’s funny, I have been saying for years how average Fitler is a coach and I get laughed at. Now look at everyone’s change of tune.

Mate you're not some prophet for saying Fitter is an average coach. Has always been painfully obvious.

Disappointed for him for what happened on the Hammer second try, because his effort prior to that to get Walsh and Taulagi in the same play was spectacular.

It was clear Fittler had no plan for him, he was injury cover or the Hail Mary play if we are down with 10-15 to go. The latter is outrageously negligent to pick someone for.

Outside of those two the only other way he would have seen the field if we were up by enough to replace Api so he could see some time.

Unfortunately for Nicho, I think it’s a likely chance he’ll lose his spot for game two for Cook, which is not a reflection on Nicho himself, but Fittler’s incompetence.

On top of that, I said prior to the game the only position we should feel uncomfortable playing is centre, and if Fittler was smart, one of the bench back row selections should be a player that has experience playing in the centres as well.

I’ve never rated Fittler as a coach and he is being shown up by a 4 game coach in the biggest arena!

Needs to take a leaf out of the apprentices books and drop a few “has beens” and pick on current form from ANYWHERE

Agree on the dropping of players but let's be honest, Slater dropping Ponga is not on the same page as dropping your captain and long serving fullback (and current Australian fullback).

I would have thrown Murray into the centres and Nicho into the middle.

Qld were hitting the edges hard all night, and Nicho was already marking up on Fifita.

No but dropping Gagai, Ponga, Capewell was a good indication that he wants to win.

Teddy hasn’t shown the form this season, Turbo has been off his game, Frizzell did okay but is he one of the top 2-3 second rowers NSW has to pick from
Luai has been garbage with 1 or 2 game exception all season

Playing Nicho (and no not just cos he is a Shark) at Centre for 10 mins was a waste of a bench spot!
No plan for Nicho

Cleary was too reliant on putting up a bomb on the 5th - no other thought or attacking imagination

The NSW tries - not much skill or imagination in those!
1 good play from 3 tries - Luai actually did one good thing last night
2 luck tries (lucky bounce off a Bomb and Api’s debatable knock back and back heel).

Fittler unable to instill the passion and grit into the blues that Slatter could into the Maroon’s

Not disagreeing with any of that, he's clearly not a head coach.
