Does anyone follow the NFL?

Im into it and i follow Baltimore Ravens.

This weeks play-off games are:

-New England Patriots Vs San Diego Chargers (I predict Patriots to win)

-New York Giants Vs Green Bay Packers (I predict Packers to win)

Dallas cowboys

they have no idea what defence is when there under alot pressure and tony romo melts when there is alot of pressure on him

just watch out game against the giants

Yer Tony had a great season this year, though when TO got injured he definately struggled. But that was due to IMO the opposition defences not having to double team TO, and that in turn allowed the defence to rush that 1 extra player to apply more pressure.

Good news though is the seasons of both Marion Barber and DeMarcus Ware! Ware is one of my fav players, he is such an athlete and a great pure pass rusher!

Packers all the ways boys :)

Yer mate I reckon the Packers have Giants number this week.

The Browns went well this year considering their past few seasons. They just missed out on the play-offs. I think they went 8-8.

I watch it on Fox Sports and ESPN. So yer to answer your question its pay tv.

If I need to sleep I'll take vallium, panadine forte or smoke pot. All much more enjoyable cures for insomnia than NFL.

You just don't enjoy the NFL cos you dont understand the game and can't appreciate the athleticism for the size of the players.

it's typically overdone american crap, however it is a form of footy and rates higher than rugby in my books.

Freak City

Check this out, this guy is just a college player at the moment, just the age of 21, thats freaky cos thats just 1 year older than me. This guy is a freak!! Vernon would be faster than most of our outside backs and stronger than all our forwards!!

VERNON GHOLSTON 6'4" 264lbs

I have equally little understanding of both games, and you can add AFL to that. Hmmm, could be interesting to start a poll: "What is your second favourite football code?", with explanations welcome as to why. The reason I love rugby league, is because to me it's the one football code that has everything: it is intensely physical, fast, skilful, continuous and for the uninitiated, relatively simple to understand. All other football codes can lay claim to maybe one or two of these characteristics, but no other encapsulates all these qualities to the degree that rugby league does, in my opinion.

Thanks for the pics Pom - this bloke looks like a giant, but to me he has the physique of a professional bodybuilder rather than what I would expect to see in a footballer. He is 120kg, and when most players bulk up to that extent their speed and stamina tend to suffer as a result. I am curious to know, which position does he play, and which physical qualities eg strength, speed, stamina, are the most important requirements for that position?

im a very passionate packers supporter and i really cant wait for tommorrow to watch them give it to the giants
they have some momentum going into the contest with the two away playoff wins but on the icey tundra of lambeau field they could struggle. brett favre (packers HOF QB) has the experiance of leading his team to the superbowl twice while eli manning (giants QB) has been much improved but may be overwhelmed by the snow and the rowdy crowd. i reckon the packers will win this one bt at least 10.

Welcome to Emu Plains, please be sure to visit our
how awesome is marion barber, he is a monster, he played great in a losing team, question is, why didnt he play the whole season, he was benched for most of it, he can carry 3-4 defenders at once, hence they call him marion the barbarian

wouldnt mind seeing him in a sharks jersey

You just don't enjoy the NFL cos you dont understand the game and can't appreciate the athleticism for the size of the players.

I'll admit, they can move alright for the fat lards that they are. Probably helps they only spend a minimal amount of time on field, and the second they're required to change from attack to defense, they get a breather and some other fat lard replaces them.

The fella you posted, Vernon or whatever, is obviously not one of the aforementioned fat lards. He probably is quicker than most our outside backs, and stronger than our forwards. But I'd put my leftie on it that he would be as useless as tits on a bull in the NRL. Something that size cannot run around for 80 minutes attacking and defending until it hurts. He'd be a fantastic impact player for 15 minutes though, I'm sure - but with interchange limits, he wouldn't be worth it, especially since the chances of him evolving into something more than 15 minutes of hell per game would be slim to none.

But I don't wanna compare NFL and NRL, they're completely different games. One is about 34 blokes going hell for leather for 80 minutes matching skill, toughness, endurance, smarts and a whole host of other qualities against each other. And one game is about 8-10 specialty teams containing bugger knows how many people in total going stop-start against each other in 10 minute bursts.

NFL - An 80 minute game that takes 4 hours to complete.
