Official Newtown Jets + Sharks Pathways 2025

Flegg will be boosted by Pollard and Coutts coming back. Potential for Gabrael to go back as well but I cant see that happening
Yeah not sure of the rules BUT I did see Gabreal at Woolooware Bay having lunch with Felix and Williams, so he's either just training with the squads still , maybe the first grade squad or he's going to play this weekend.

Also Gabreal might not be tall but he's definitely stocky and has some size to him.

Only 3 Vic players in that Storm 21s team ( ones an emergency) run on side. Sharks might get em with a bit more cohesion, if they got a strong local content.

11am Sunday at Leichhardt

Having finished the regular season in third before defeating the fourth-placed Raiders 16-12 last week, Cronulla will face minor premiers Melbourne for a place in the grand final. The loser will have a second chance to reach the under-21 decider, playing the winner of the Canberra-Penrith clash in a preliminary final.

With the Newtown Jets now eliminated from the NSW Cup playoffs, halfback Riley Pollard will return to Flegg level in a playmaking boost for the Sharks. Bryce Sait is the unlucky man to miss out after wearing the No.7 jersey against the Raiders.

Second-rower Dylan Coutts will also drop back from Newtown duties, bumping Joe Nadenic to the interchange and Cruz Devine to the reserves list.

NRL squad member Michael Gabrael was deemed ineligible for selection having only played one Flegg game this year. Under NSWRL rules, a player must have featured in at least eight matches throughout the season to be eligible for the finals.

Mitch Jennings #3 for the Storm looks like a star of the future. Plenty of good players in their team.

Interestingly Stonestreet’s brother Nick is in their wider Flegg squad, not playing today though

34-10. Try to Prestyn after Pollard 40-20. Williams got a try earlier and disallowed a second. Those three probably our best so far (in attack at least).

That’s three big wins by the Storm over us. Even though we finished with the same number of wins. They look like they will be strong for years to come.

Sharks play the winner of Raiders-Panthers.

Taj Ford a massive loss

Williams played well between all the fights

Sharks vs Panthers 1pm Saturday at Jubilee

Panthers fresh off a good win over the Raiders

Will be tough to bounce back after that Melbourne game. Melbourne were incredible. Their junior/recruitment system is amazing. Their coach, Mark Russell apparently coached at Cronulla and then Roosters. Might be another on the Storm assistant pipeline.

Ashton Simmonds signed for another year

Nothing really unusual but thought I may as well post. He hasn’t stood out for me particularly this year, but still plenty of time (also I rarely watch Flegg real closely)
