Thanks to Marshall for this picture of NSW Opposition leader Neville Wran making a presentation before kicking off the Anzac Day clash between Cronulla and Easts in April 1976.

Wran was campaigning just before the 1976 election, which he narrowly won. At Endeavour he promised Cronulla a 'Letter of Comfort' which helped them obtain the funding to finish and open the Leagues Club, two years behind schedule.

The players pictured are (I think):
8. Greg Pierce
7. Roger Millward (thanks Crackers) or Fred Dennehy
6. Barry Andrews
13. Paul Khan

Number 7 looks like Roger MILLWARD. Historical picture if it is as he only played 14 games with us that year and here he has the unusual number 7 and not 6 on his back.

Thanks Crackers, I've amended that, and will look into it further one day to see who the full line-up was.

Its got to be Roger the Doger...

Freddy Denehy was a lot taller the Roger if my memory serves me correctly. And Fred usually wore his hair longer.

Shame there are not some more pics of RM in existance. Ive got a lot of interesting info sent to me about Roger and his Hull Kingston Rover Days. They absolutely worship him over there.

Got hold of an interview he did about the Challenge Cup. Its a good read also.

Roger the dodger for sure. Fred the garbo had blonde hair. Millward when kicking had the ball on a string.
