Power Rankings

1. Merimbula Sharks
I'm quite happy with the way I came out of the draft, I was targeting the percentages & defensive stats as my main focus. Outside of assists I will be competitive in each of the categories. There were a few places that I feel I took the wrong option & I didn't end up with as many boards on my side as I was hoping to get, at stages I held off big men for my FT% but realistically I probably shouldn't lose that cat this year.

Worst Pick: Jonas Valanciunas
I feel I'm probably not going to get the production I need out of him this year. This was a toss up between him & Covington, I reached for Covington a little but I needed his help in 3's, STL & BLK

Best Pick: Gary Harris
I think Harris is going to come on in leaps & bounds this year having a positive effect on FG% while adding 3's & grabbing a few steals.

Strengths: FG%, FT%, STL, BLK, TO
Weakness: AST, OREB, REB

2. The Chosen Ones
Wrighty has again composed a very solid roster from the draft, he's going to be unstoppable in assists. As is always an issue when you draft Westbrook Wrighty is going to struggle in FG% & turnovers but it allows him to be very strong in other cats.

Worst Pick: Ryan Anderson
Anderson simply doesn't contribute enough in fantasy anymore IMO, although I do understand Wrighty grabbing him for a 3pt boost.

Best Pick: Zach LaVine
Although he will miss the start of the season once he's back up & running he will be given the keys to the Bulls offence. Zach will provide very good numbers at a very low draft position.

Strengths: AST, STL, FT%, OREB
Weakness: FG%, BLK, TO

3. Los Angeles Gronks
DJ has done a DJ & gone big, he's going to be near impossible to stop in the big man cats. Unfortunately for DJ I think he has ignored your typical guard stats too much, his side has the potential to be a monster.

Worst Pick: Kevin Durant/Dion Waiters
Durant would have been my first pick in this draft & is an out & out superstar. Sadly he doesn't fit DJ's team (other than extending the REB lead & adding some guard stats). I'm not sure if DJ always intended to go big, although I suspect he probably did. My first pick for DJ would have been Curry to kick him off in the guard stats. This isn't a bad pick just a mismatch.

Dion Waiters adds points but not enough to make a difference for DJ's side, low end assists which don't really help DJ & some threes. Even with the last pick I wouldn't have picked Waiters for DJ's team.

Best Pick: Andre Drummond
To pick Drummond up in the 7th working with DJ's build is very handy work. It was at this point where other teams got thrown out of the race for REB & he adds plenty of well needed steals.

Strengths: OREB, DREB, REB, BLK, TO, FG%
Weakness: FT, PTS, AST, STL

4. Caringbah Snowmen
This is one of the first times I've come out of the draft not thinking Snow would be right up the top. Drafting Lebron & Whiteside after taking Harden has brought Snow's FG% back to life & dragged down the FT% advantage of taking Harden. Snow will be competitive in every cat but I can really only see him dominating two.

Worst Pick: Andrew Wiggins
I'm not normally very high on Wiggins at the best of times but to take him in the 10th round in a league with 6 teams has whiskers on it to me. The majority of Wiggins value comes from points which he is now going to have to share more than ever. I just can't see him adding enough value for the 81st pick.

Best Pick: Dennis Schroder
Where Snow may have missed some value in Wiggins he's gained a bucket load in Schroder with his 11th pick. He is going to take on some serious responsibility this season & I can see him playing well above this position. In another competition I'm in Schroder actually got picked up before CP3, this is retarded but still shows the value Snow could get here.

Strengths: 3PT, PTS
Weakness: OREB, DREB, STL

5. Chris's Choice Team
Chriso's side is full of strange selections that contradict each other & I'm just not sure where he was trying to go but it hasn't worked. There are three obvious players for him to trade out for a rebuild which could see him climb the rankings very quickly.

Worst Pick: Jrue Holiday
I think Chriso may have panicked looking at all the PG's flying away, it's all I can come up with there. Holiday will still add value I just think there were much better options available to him.
Best Pick: Nerlens Noel/Ricky Rubio
Noel has the potential to be a game changer this year if he sees enough minutes. He just adds so much value on defense. Rubio was a very handy later source of assists that help boost his side dramatically.

Strengths: STL, BLK, AST, REB
Weakness: FT%, 3PT, PTS

6. Reid's Legit Team
Dier started the draft as a defensive juggernaut Alphabet, Green & Cousins you wouldn't think anyone could catch him on the defensive end after that start. However Dier seemed to largely ignore his defensive stats after that. He's gone big on unproven talent & risky picks (Thomas, Simmons, Ball, Saric, Josh Jackson, Reggie Jackson) so he could end up anywhere. This team is hard for me to judge as someone who hasn't watched any of the rookies. I had to rely a lot on predictions from the net.

Worst Pick: Which ever risky pick misfires/Devin Booker
Booker can put up huge scores but he doesn't offer much else & is yet to prove himself as a valid fantasy option with Bledsoe on the court. Massive overs here.
Best Pick: Which ever risky pick fires/Carmelo Anthony
Melo is a more relavent fantasy option than Booker & almost guaranteed to provide above draft value from round 10.

Strengths: PTS, AST, FT%
Weakness: FG%, 3PT, OREB, DREB, REB, TO

Yeah nailed the Ryan Anderson opinion. Grabbed him for 3PT shooting from a big man. Doesnt provide much else.

Season starts in 2 days boys. Get those lineups set.

Was the 'start active players' button there last year? Makes it easy AF to set lineups now.

Yeah it was there. Just got to be careful that it doesn't leave out a star, it did it to me a few times last year.
