North Queensland coach Graham Murray has reportedly quit the NRL club on Monday.

Told at the start of 2008 this would be his final year at the club, Murray informed club officials of his resignation on Monday morning, according to the Daily Telegraph website.

Last Saturday's loss to Manly was the club's fourth in succession and leaves last year's preliminary finalists near the rear of the NRL table in 15th place.

Assistant coach Ian Millward, who just last week signed a two-year deal with Canberra, is expected to take over for the remainder of 2008.

A club spokesperson said he was unaware of Murray's resignation.

i read somewhere else that he is now going back to teaching.
a bit of a step down in status, a lot less stress though.
good luck to him.

i think this year the only reason the bulldogs arent very high is because of their halves. they are obviously trying to address this seeing they got kimmorley. i reckon if they had thurston though, they could win the comp.

I can not see Thurston playing alongside Noddy, please spare me. They are also both out and out halfbacks.

yeah Bellamy is the best coach in Australia as we speak... i personally feel he is better then Sticky at the moment, and will slot into the Australian Coaching role within next few years.
