Well done to the Cubbies, I was listening through the app on the way to work. What a year 2016 has been, we probably won't see anything like this again. Baseballs Mr Fix-It Ben Zobrist put them in the lead. I thought they blew it when Cleveland got one back, but a good calm play to 1st finishes it up and makes history.

Someone needs to sit down and look at all the major sporting comps and calculate how many years of championships droughts were broken in 2016

I thought the Indians walking a couple of batters was strange in the 10th but I don't really understand the tactics.

If there's less then 2 outs and you've got a runner on second, sometimes they'll walk the next guy to set up a potential double play, especially if the guy their walking is a strong batter and they've got a batter who struggles against that certain pitcher after him.

Yeah but they walked a couple in very quick succession from memory, seemed odd at the time.

I guess when it finally came, it was always going to be like that. The Cubbies were never going to break the drought in any sort of easy way. I was up till 4.30 am watching and I have to say, when Davis homered in the bottom of the eighth (geez, didn't he hit that so sweet?), I thought the Cubs were gone. My heart was about to give out.
Immense effort to get back in front and hold it. Feel for the tribe but what a great feeling as a cubs fan. 108 years! ****** that goat, the curse has been broken!

P.s. Just managed to get my finances back in a bit of order after splashing out on a raft of Sharks premeirship gear, guess I'm going to be pulling out the credit card again. *sigh*
missus won't be happy...

Good on em, that’s their first one. In fact that’s the first time the World Series has been won by a team from Texas. One of the best seeies’s I’ve seen.
