yea he was a totally different player in the second trial when he was surrounded with good company than he was in the first trial this year
 
With Gabrael, others that are moving up in the pecking order for next season.
I wonder our Fitz is going to play it?
Does he keep picking our best side from players available to win each week or does he introduce a player here, a player there etc this season rather than have a bunch of newbies all starting to play or become regular FG’’ers round 1 onwards next yr?

Players who are leaving, or more than likely leaving who have historically been part of our best 1-20 players are-

Sione (definite)
Jesse (definite)
Mah (definite)
Cam (definite)
Sifa (definite)
Toby (likely)
BHU (likely)
CV although not a regular 1-20 player

Not including CV, that’s 7 players

Incoming
SS
Gbrael
Trout

Leaves potentially 4 players we are upgrading or anticipating being in our best 1-20 for selection from our lower grades
Or
Are we filling some of those 4 players with imports from other clubs?

I’d guess Jones will get a debut at some stage this year, and maybe Gabrael if he gets consistent footy. But otherwise Fitz doesn’t seem to hand out NRL debuts for free.

I think replacements would be along these lines:

Sione (definite) - Stonestreet
Jesse (definite) - Gabrael
Mah (definite) - Jones
Cam (definite) - Hosking/Dellow
Sifa (definite) - Lavender/Hassett
Toby (likely) - Tuku?
BHU (likely) - Felix
CV - Williams
Berrell - Caccioti/Pollard

Forgot Trout. Also gotta remember if you're replacing someone in the top 30 with another top 30 player we still need to add someone.

Agree he doesn’t but the way things are atm, not much happening on the signing front there’s a good chance we are replacing within/in the lower grades.
It’s not ideal to have several all debut at once or within weeks though.
Given we are up to our necks trying to establish ourselves in the 8 for this season it’s going to be tricky for Fitz to juggle & introduce some guys.

Very true. In terms of top 30 replacements then maybe….

Sione (definite) - Dixon or Gray or a signing
Jesse (definite) - Williams
Mah (definite) - PLS
Cam (definite) - Lavender
Sifa (definite) - Trout
Toby (likely) - Hassett or Fearnley
BHU (likely) - Felix
CV - maybe Ford or Pollard, not like for like, but we have less halves depth in top 30 than previous
Berrell? - Cacciotti

Definitely room for a couple of new players in there, particularly a winger. Potentially players like Grantham and Lester are scheduled for top 30 as well, similar to Dellow this year. But probably have to accept we won’t have a squad full of NRL-ready players as we have had recently

If we can use the extra cash effectively for some top end talent I don't think this is the worst thing. We've been too mid tier heavy for a while
