Considering the expected damage, 6 - 8 weeks is a majestic recovery
Once the doctor got in there with the scope and saw no meniscus damage and just minor tears / major sprains everywhere else I think running at 6-8 weeks was always the hope. I know guys who have done ACLs and were doing straight line running around the same time but took a full yar to get back to competitive sports.

The strength thing is great news though. He pretty much had 4 weeks sitting idle and lost a l of muscle tone, so to have re-built it back up in the last 4 is a great effort. I think that 4 weeks rest up front will have helped all of the peripheral stuff too.

Any advice to someone who has wasted 7 years in a dead end job and is now finding it impossible to find work elsewhere?
Career frustration is the pits man, I feel you.

Can you give a little bit more info? What sort of job? Any transferable skills? Any passions? Is retraining an option?
