On behalf of the Sharks Board, Management, Staff, NRL playing group and in particular the Membership team, we thank you for your support through challenging times in what has been a rapidly evolving and complex situation.

As you are aware, our Round 17 match against the Warriors was played at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium with no crowds. The Sharks then joined 12 other NRL teams in relocating to Queensland, with the decision made by the NRL to ensure the competition continues to operate despite the impact of COVID-19. Unfortunately, there is still much doubt surrounding the venues for the final Sharks home games of the 2021 season.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in allowing us the necessary time to formulate what we believe are the right outcomes for you, our incredibly valued Members.
MEMBERSHIP CREDIT

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on the current season, Sharks Full Season Ticketed and Flexi Members will be issued a credit for the undelivered value of their 2021 Membership, with that credit to be applied to 2022 Memberships.

In offering some good news, we are excited to inform you that the Sharks home games will be played out of PointsBet Stadium in 2022. That’s right, while full details are being finalised, your credit amount will be applied to the purchase of your Sharks Membership in 2022, for home games at PointsBet Stadium. There will be further communication on the return to PointsBet Stadium for our Members next week.

Each individual Member’s credit amount will be calculated at the end of the season, once we understand the full impact of COVID-19 on the Sharks home fixtures this year.
CONTACT US

We can appreciate many of you may be experiencing hardship during these challenging times. As the Sharks Membership and Management team continues to work through the situation, any urgent enquiries can be emailed to members@sharks.com.au.

Our Membership and Football Club personnel are currently working at reduced hours and staffing levels, but we will respond to your enquiries as quickly as possible.
UPDATE YOUR DETAILS

The Club will continue to communicate any updates and important news via email to Members. We encourage you to ensure your details are up to date, as well as the details of secondary Members* within your account.

Will have to turn our 5G off before we are allowed in right?

Thank goodness I never had to witness a Josh Hannay coached Sharks side run out onto our proper home ground - small mercies. I will keep him in my mind forever associated with the Kograh Covid instead

My notes from the Online members night. Probably missed some other key points but these stuck out to me.

- Expecting a 350 to 450k loss as a group. They had forecast 1.45m loss so guess that's good.
- Trials against Panthers and Dogs
- 26 of top 30 signed this includes the soon to be announced Tolman and Miller.
- Few new staff in the medical and strength team. no names mentioned.
- New retail merch range out mid to late November. New concepts with sponsors.
- Full sponsorship kit again for 2022. Some exciting announcements. New Sleeve sponsor. TFH no longer. Couple of shorts sponsors to be announced.
- Setting up a temporary Chairman's marquee (250 guest) to be on Hill next to ET stand and between Family Hill.
- Development progressing well. leagues club on track for 2023 May/June open.
- Sounds like Peter Burns and Family hill most affected by construction. Though fairly obvious.
- Continuing to pursue funding for COE. They showed a concept image but was hard to make out and don't know if it's the same one floating around for a few years. Funding a high priority and submissions to government happening. No time frame.
- Negotiating multi year deal with Coffs Harbour
- Board wants to future proof club and rubbished comment
- Luke Metcalf contracted for 2022, like to keep for 2023 but will be here next year.
- Will be more recruits before end of year.
- Part of COE work would include ET stadium renovations.

Fitzy
- Fitzy was on, was keen to jump on talk to everyone. Looks good in Blue ! Thanked everyone for giving him the opportunity. Confident football program is looking great and sounds like he's been attending this week. Excited to get going. Didn't go into much detail.
- Fitz commented on Blayke when someone asked about his contract. Big fan, hoping to keep him long term.
- Fitz met with Wade yesterday, looking good, no issues.

Memberships
- On sale 1st November
- Same seat deadline 15th November
- EOI 16th November
- New memberships 17th Nov
- Doing some sort of members portal, first in the NRL. February 2022 launch.
- Currently exploring shuttle services around Cronulla, Woolooware and Caringbah stations due to lack of parking due to construction.

Overall it was pretty good, they walked through all key areas and had the different department heads provide a brief update. About 125 people were online. Fitz presented well and was good to hear him talk. He seems amped to get going.

Thanks for sharing. What’s the Coffs Harbour deal? We looking to play some games out of there?

Thanks for great summary as there was a lot covered last night , but just one point of clarification .

Unfortunately my understanding is that the latest forecast for the Group ( Club & Football ) is around a $1million loss . This is certainly better than the $1.45m original forecast at beginning of the year & a good result considering the impact of the lockdown.

I'm fairly sure they said they expected a 350 to 450k loss but might have mis heard it ?

Don’t think you can till November 1st but I got an email with what my membership will be factoring in a rebate for games missed due to Covid.

Not sure how your mate has renewed as you can’t do it until November 1. I tried myself and found no info when I logged in so I rang and spoke to Giselle in the membership team. She reminded me about November 1 and when I went back and read my email I realised I’d missed that important piece of information.

So again not sure how your mate can renew when no one else can. Might be a bit of a misunderstanding there.
