I'll be in the minority but I don't see Ronnie as a lock in for a wing spot.

your not mate, he is way behind Katoa who is our only lock for wing IMO . I like Ronnie, good finisher, handy in the air and can put down a great hitup but he has some issues he needs to address , especially with defense and attitude

I'd take Ronnie every time on the wing at the moment, but that is due to him being ahead in development. Good prospects in Hiroti and Iro could catch him in a year or two.

I like Hiroti... Maybe the competition will give Ronnie a similar boot to the one Will got. Tracey challenging for the FB role definitely helped him!

Gordon after game and Griffin in his post matched slagged off Hiroti for his high shot like it was super avoidable and Griffin suggested intentionally high and should have been sent.
But as Hannay said tackling over the top of the ball has been drilled into them for years, that was the exact tackle he has been taught over and over and under pressure it came out (like was the intention behind drilling it into them). I don't like people like Tallis and a literal current NRL coach suggesting otherwise. I knew it the moment I saw it and so do (should) they.

(we won't mention the tap fiasco)

Yeah that was a decent run, redeemed himself a bit

yeah,
his ball control in his early performances was cringe worthy too.

but I liked that run, strong, broke a tackle and got away.
paps, tedesco, ado carr, brimson - would have been a try I reckon. but thats an unfair comparison :glasses-cool:

Was it him that threw the dodgy one to Toby after the drop out?
He’d be feeling a lot happy about himself this morning than if Norman had slotted that field goal with 20 seconds to go after the fumble...

Yeah. Was Hiroti’s pass.

Yeah can't wait for Ronaldo and Katoa. Hiroti can have a stint back at Newtown.

Hannay actually said that despite the poor game last night he thinks Hiroti has been one of the Sharks’ best over the last 6 weeks.

Hirotis tackle was a try saver. He showed seriously pace to catch Ramsey. I’d like to see him replace Dugan in the centre next week as he’ll be getting a holiday

not a great pass but I reckon Toby should have caught that

that run up field from Hiroti towards the end of game had shades of matty wright against Parra a number of years ago. wasn't as epic as wrights but just as needed

Happy with his progress. But should be a depth only option at this stage.,
