Maybe not the case for all those who weren’t keen on him but I felt like some people confused their fairly held issues with his health with issues around playing quality, when he has generally played decent for us.
My main issue was him staying on the park, and his long kicking game (or lack of).

I always felt that when he was on the park he did a good job, problem was he wasn’t on the park enough

This **** has always annoyed the **** out of me. That smirked face sitting in the stands injured.

But credit to him this year, he is playing well and from reports has actually put in a lot of hard work in to keep himself fit. Awesome to see.

Another game to prove his detractors (including myself) wrong.

Good on him.
Yep. 100%. Hated his standard of play the first 2-3 rounds, couldn’t see the need for him if that was his ceiling. The last 2 rounds much much better. Definitely adding value.

Happy days

All four of our spine players are extremely important to us, the only player we can probably cover with less disruption is Brailey

A fit and firing moylan like we have now compliments nicho perfectly, even fitz said they had the best chemistry in the preseason

And wouldn't have changed your mind if he had moved to another club I reckon. He just about has the perfect team around him for his needs at this stage of his career.

I still do wonder occassionally what a fit SJ could have done in this side

Same thing he's always done, look flashy in the easy games and play 20 good minutes at the end of the harder games to nab some votes (whether it is enough for us to win or not is another question).

We'd be able to account for him missing a bit more with Hynes in side though, and rise of Kennedy.
In saying that he has a good amount of touches this season, he actually sits 21st (one after Nicho) on average so maybe he could do a good Moylan impression... wouldn't have signed for close to what Moyza did though so it would probably mean no Finucane...

If there’s a player you want to sign for a modest contract with per FG game bonus it’s this guy.

He may have had bad luck but is it coincidence inside the past year we have heard so many reports via media or people quoted he’s really put in the hard work at training & looking after his body etc etc.

I get you cannot control injuries but….

Not sure that would be easy to do with a salary cap?
