absolutely shocking on the weekend

He was the same last week but without the errors except in the last 20 he came up with some defensive plays -Apart from that last 20 last week he was ineffective as well.

It’s ok, the Moylan disciple’s will tell you he signed on for half of or less than his current contract………..
400k, 450k, whatever it is, Fitz has wasted that in our cap.

I'm not sure what a Moylan disciple is, sounds a lot like a Chad lover so I am going to assume whenever it is used the post is being made by someone unable to be at all subjective

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Moylan took a pay cut over half a million dollars to sign on with the Sharks. He was previously on $850k a year and his new salary is believed to be between $340-350k.

So do you have anything that backs up 450k or have you just given him a pay raise to better push the agenda he will be a waste of money?

Don't get me wrong, I also think he is a bad (re-)signing I just (as with Chad) don't like people making up their own facts if they can't back them up or anything.
Still looks pretty likely he will be a bad signing at 350k.

oh no, I think I'm now the Moylan disciple...

I don't think there is any Moylan fan boys or zealot like defenders of his on this forum. most are fairly ho hum about him and when he is being bagged it's usually for good reason and difficult to defend, likewise when he is being praised the bloke has usually earned it

With Woods, SJ, Duges out the door a part of my now feels I wish Moylan was swept away with them so we can make a clean break and start fresh. would have been like the end to a bad dream but his ghost still lingers for now...

100% agree with this, was an opportunity missed even though his salary is significantly less.

Sure he might be experienced but can't see how any half is worthwhile that can't run or kick. Dunno, kind of thought those attributes might come in handy.

it's like a weight being lifted from my shoulders and then I remember Mozza is hanging around. I like him as a guy and when he plays well but he's kinda part of this toxic overpaid unprofessional giggling un-cronulla like under tone

other than 2018 it's been a pretty ****ty time with these sorta blokes and I want to put this era behind me. New coach new season was the perfect time

If he was more 7-ish it would make more sense but given what he actually offers I don't love it and think that money could have been better spent.
I wonder if what we knew now (more Trindall and Metcalf) if Moylan still gets an offer. I want to say the answer is no but then board, Mooney, Fitz have made good choices so far so I guess I will give him some benefit of the doubt until we see how much he takes the field.

If he gets hurt in preseason I think there will be a fair blow up on here haha

A bit of a weird one... It's hard to remember him being part of any squad to be swept out of. Even harder to think of him as depth, he's always been the depth-er. It'll be an interesting offseason

A couple of good posts Bort. You've been training hard in the off-season!

See you at the Moylan Monumemt for prayers and worship on Sunday!

Geez these “journalists” like to sculpt their own truth.
Even when first-choice playmaker Shaun Johnson was ruled out for the season, Moylan spent time on the bench, stuck behind starters Luke Metcalf and Braydon Trindall.
He played 2 games off the bench when he came back after 8 weeks off injured - which is something he has done for the last 3 seasons. He wasn’t “stuck” behind anyone.

Play well, get injured, come back via the bench and go ok, play poorly for a few weeks, start to play well, repeat.

The way the media covers former Australian representatives is a disgrace.
