Reports are that the Warrior’s are chasing Dylan Brown.
If they land him, there is another road block in his NRL ambition at the Warriors.
Shame he jumped ship.
Luke's pretty naive if he thinks he's guaranteed a spot in any team over a season away.

Walsh - halves or fullback
Metcalf - halves or fullback

One of them partners Brown.

Johnson will only have a year left

Yeah dreaming if that's true.

Had **** all try assists this year.
I think he had 2. Most overrated player going around IMO.
Yep. That's all that matters.

#10 gets a quick play the ball. The ball goes #9 --> #13 --> #7 --> #6 --> #1 --> winger or centre and they score. 4 other blokes ran decoys. #1 gets a try assist.

95% of try assists are:
- bloke who threw the last pass
- bloke who kicked for a try
- hooker who threw a pass for a crash play

It means **** all, unless you want to know who the best players are at kicking for tries (e.g. Taylor, Moses, Johnson).

It doesn't even tell you who the best kickers are. Cleary bombs teams to death but that's about forcing mistakes and building pressure. They don't score an unusually high amount of tries from his kicks.

Chad was equal 7th for try assists last year level with Ponga, Moses, Hunt, S Walker, Doueihi
Above Mitchell, Gutherson, Hughes, Reed, Luai, Hynes, Drinkwater, Munster, Grant, Kennedy

In fact only Keary, Turbo, Cody Walker, DCE, Cleary and Teddy had more try assists on average than Chad Townsend last year.

He was probably playing better during the period some on here were in a frenzy about him not having a try assist for 6 weeks or whatever than he was last season.

From a TA alone perspective you can read that Dylan Brown having two means he doesn't contribute much, or you can assume he's doing a lot of the early work to help his half and fullback both be top 20 for assists. I don't mind referring to stats and discussing stats but I agree they don't always paint an accurate picture. But, I do think Brown started his career looking more promising than he has delivered so far.
Does have a pretty sweet 66.67% win rate all three seasons he has played though which is better than Paras team win rate for 2 of those three years and they were spooners the year before he started (obviously he is far from the only factor in that)

No he wasn't - Townsend is sht, all those players were adding value to their team elsewhere lol

Give him the #6 Shirt @ Sharks alongside Hynes.
Get him to backflip on his Warriors deal by using the Atkin defence of 'oh i didn't realise id have to live in New Zealand when i signed for the New Zealand Warriors'

Hahaha never thought that would be a reason that would be legitimately on the cards but here we are.

With Hynes going so well at 7 I’d have loved to keep Metcalf around but he wants to get paid and proven twice he’s happy to leave.

Highlights.

Metcalf and Miller both weapons in attack, struggling in defence.

Thanks, yeah looks like more an attacking masterclass from Miller, he's certainly got the nice rugby pass.

Didn't see it but sounds like he had a great game

I read it as he had a shocker

won't happen this year barring injuries to mozza and trindall

but if Fitz wants to keep this attacking style going into 2023 and doesn't extend Moylan maybe Metcalf could have been the man to slot into 6 next to Hynes

Is a beast at executing 3 on 2's.

3 Attackers or 3 Defenders? 🤔
